i am trying to decide between the park...
i am trying to decide between the park pickle or this board. what one will give me the power to shred on day and night?
if ur riding in some icy conditions park pickles the choice if ur not worried bout ice both of these boards are solid just look into which brand is for u. gnu is made by mervin which also makes lib tech boards and theres boards are great quality not to say capitas arent! all preference
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!! FK is the best reverse camber, no contenders. it does everything, so much pop, floats in deep pow cake, rails are nothin but a thang on this puppy. buy it.
This board does it all, steeps, jibs, drops, pipe, jumps, whatever you can thrown at it. Just spent 5 days on it in whistler, and bootpacking into unlimited fresh, it kills. (Sudan, Prime rib, all the stupids, Feather tree) Floats like a dream and is quick from edge to edge. You can lay it out on the steeps slashing through whatever. You can also take it to the park and butter like a madman. On the groomers it is stable and playful, slashing your friends has never been more fun. I think capita's FK is top notch, it has all the benefits of reverse camber without that washout feeling. I would highly recommend this board to everyone. Plus the graphic is always savage.
This board is steezy
This is a great park board, it took me a day to get used to it but now on day 2 i'm better than i was on my old board, don't be deceived by the 6-10 flex rating, this thing has a lot of flex just where it matters, it carves and handles speed like a stiff, but it jibs and butters like a soft. I highly recommend this board. also this is a great price i bought it from my local shop for $550.
does it all so far
I got the 155. I'm 6' and a buck ninety.
First few days I rode this on groomers and the park and it was killer! Super fun to !pop! off of features, buttery, rides boxes and rails really smooth. I thought this responded really well to my movements.
Today I got to ride it in a foot of fresh and I didn't struggle at all. I was floating and landing my drops without submarining. Cruisin at high speeds in bowls and total control all the way back onto the groomers to the lift.
153 w/ Force's
so i have been planning on getting the...
so i have been planning on getting the indoor survival this year, but my locl shop has opened my eyes to this beauty. im still really torn between the two and cant find a ton of reviews on this board. what should i do?
SUPER similar boards you're looking at. You can kind of consider the UltraFear the Indoor Survival on roids. Little beefier, more pop because of the added beech wood. You also get 1.5MM Rubber edge dampening along the rails which is going to cut down on chatter, help with stomping your landings and adds rebound. The UltraFear is better for someone with a bigger foot as it does have a wider waist width than the Indoor Survival. Hope that helps.
thanks a ton man, gettin it tomoro
im kinda torn between getting the 147 or...
im kinda torn between getting the 147 or the 151. im 5'4 150 pounds. i usually ride a 151 and want to try a smaller size but im afraid the 147 might be to small to hit jumps. how much of a difference would riding a 147 as opposed to the 151?
im 160lbs and i ride a 153 and it is perfect so i would say that a that a 151 would be better if you want to be able to do jumps and have a soft flexing jib board..... hoped that helped
So I can still hit jumps with this right?...
So I can still hit jumps with this right? and still press?
Yeah man its a great board for jumps especially..and for pressing and jibbing its the same as the horoscope but just a better improvement on impact and speed reduction!
How does this stack up against the youngblood...
How does this stack up against the youngblood chillydog?
they both have reverse cambers that are meant to be park killers.... the young blood is a little softer and is great for jibs and jumps but taking it pow it going to be tough..... this board is a little stiffer but not to bad i would say that it is a 4/10(10 being vary stiff) and the young blood is like a 2.75/10..... hoped that helped
