i own this jacket, i have it in the red, which is actually more of a really pretty burgandy/wine type of color. i've received so many compliments on how sick my jacket is. i've never had an issue with it riding up over my hips, and the elastic at the bottom really helps to cover your butt on those pow days.
it is a shell, but you can layer up. depends on you and how warm or cold you get. tons of pockets for stuff, the lining is really neat too, soft and awesome lookin.
i eyeballed this jacket the entire summer, and finally broke down and picked it up
by far my most fave jacket ever.

I got this Jacket in red for my wife, it runs a little small. This jacket has elastic sewn into the bottom hem that will make it hike from the hips and bulge in the waist. It's only removable by surgery, which will void the return but for the cost it's worth it.
Change me.
