One jacket that definitely won't ruin your day.

When the mercury starts to plummet, but conditions are on, Hana Beaman turns to the Cappel Women's Road To Ruin Down Jacket to keep her warm while she's out in the backcountry. Hana worked with Ride to make this jacket ultra-warm and super-stylish so she could look good while throwing down smooth-ass tricks in frigid temperatures.

The fabric features Aquapel waterproofing to keep you dry in all but the wettest conditions and taped critical seams to prevent moisture from seeping in through the cracks. Down insulation in the body is lightweight yet incredibly warm, and Clomax insulation in the sleeves keeps it low-profile. Speaking of sleeves, the sleeves are removable so you can rock it as a vest when it's warmer, and they're reversible to you have two looks to choose from when you're rocking it as a jacket. Mesh-lined underarm vents let you dump heat when the sun comes out in the afternoon. It also has a long cut to keep your butt dry on the chairlift. A zip-out powder skirt keeps snow out when you're surfing through the deep stuff, and can be removed when skies are clear.

sick jacket and a vest too!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I love this jacket! you can take the sleeves off and still have a rad vest with all the pockets that you would need to have a great day riding. Also the sleeves are reversible so you can switch up the color. It has a long kind of slim fit but enough room to layer. Good, sturdy, thick fabric and really warm too. I bought this to be my cold, wet weather jacket and its perfect. The only thing i dont like on the jacket is that is rubs my chin raw worse than 80 grit sandpaper. I learned my lesson and now I wear a buff if I'm gonna zip it all the way because the chin area is the same fabric as the rough woolly outer fabric. I wish they would have extended the silky fabric that lines the hood all the way through the chin.
