wind proof, water proof, everything proof but bullet proof, with only
20 F something and a very windy day in Stratton Vermont 2 weeks ago, I only had one base layer and one almost nothing mid layer, this jacket did its work. Yet, it's not stylish at all, as you can see it is very puffy, but definitely an eye-catching jacket, people can see you from far far away ....
I have this jacket in black and totally love it. It's warm but light weight and not bulky and really comfortable. By far the best jacket I have purchased yet.
One of my favorites
I have this jacket in Citrine Yellow and I love it. The quilted stitching and amount of down makes for a flattering (not bulky at all) fit, and the attention to detail makes it stand out from other down jackets. It is versatile in that it can be worn on really cold or warm(ish) days- just layer accordingly and you will be comfortable. I am 5'9" and the medium fits perfectly.
So I bought this jacket thinking it would be the nicest looking jacket and I mean it better be for the cost. It just looked bulky and stupid. It wasn't even warm at all! The hood was big that's true, too big!!! It didn't even have hand gaitors, so I sent it back!
I'm stoked on this jacket. The sweet things are: nice fit, sleek style, big hood - snow can be blowing sideways and you just pull up the hood and are in your own cozy world, the arms and torso are long enough even though I'm 5'6 and ordered an xs. The thing to be aware of is that this jacket's down is Super low profile (warm, but Definitely not anything like 500-fill down). I wouldn't mind if they had put a little bit more down in the jacket because I tend to get really cold in the winter, but I still love the jacket, and it is still warmer than my synthetic-insulated jacket.
This jacket is by far the nicest boarding jacket I have ever owned. Very warm, with ample pockets, and looks very stylish. The gold shows up in person better than on the photo.
