Channel Islands Fred Rubble Surfboard - 2012
Extra volume up front gives you the ability to drive the Channel Islands Fred Rubble Surfboard the way fictional cavemen drive cars ... hard and crazed. The mellow nose rocker creates less resistance on the nose so you can paddle quickly and maneuver easily once you get up, and the generous volume throughout combined with high-performance concave on the belly allows aggressive surfers to take that 'no holds barred' style and turn it into big airs, flat spins, and inverts.
- Mellow single concave to a V at the tail offers quicker rail transitions and allows you to maintain speed off the bottom turn to shoot back up to the lip
- Two top layers and one bottom layer of high-performance fiberglass wrap the ultralight, responsive polyurethane core
- Wide profile throughout combined with a mellow rocker at the nose creates a stable yet agile platform to charge fast
- Wide-ish squash tail releases at the lip and bottom turns so you can fly high, slash hard, and spin out with fluidity and style
- Tri-fin setup (fins sold separately) provides that quick release needed to power from turn to trick
- Channel Islands suggests you size down about two inches from your preferred shortboard size
Bottom Line: For aggressive slashing.
