Got this in white, and recently used it up in Mammoth during a major snowstorm. Like another reviewer commented, the face hole is a bit large, but is super adaptable. When I would get too hot, I could pull it down under my chin. When I was super cold, I could hike it up right next to my goggles. I've owned several neoprene Balaclavas and this is by far the warmest. The only downside is that if you are in a downpour of wet snow, the fleece can get kind of wet and cold on the outside. It still seemed to stay toasty warm on the inside (which is what really matters, right?)

It's polyester fleece, so no bleach. Warm wash, air dry or low dryer heat and you'll be good.

I like this balaclava, but I think I need to downgrade to just a gaiter. This thing is just too hot for me.

ya so this Bala is preety rad the material is farily thick and keeps me wicked warm well my face and neck :P the face hole i found is just slightly big but the plus to this is its very adaptable to diffrenet size faces and goggles when compared to a lot of other bala's out there deffenetly my fav ive used
