IHOWKB: International House of Waffle Knit Beanies.
Even under handful of blueberries, a smattering of whip cream, and a dash of maple syrup the Coal Waffle Beanie maintains it's toasty warm feel. Hand-crocheted acrylic yarn has a thermal-style texture you'll find just as inviting as a high-stack of flapjacks on Saturday morning.

Not great for small heads
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
I love this hat, I wear it often, but it's really too large to accommodate a small/tiny head like mine.
I have to nudge it up often, and give myself a rather generous reservoir tip in order to make sure my eyes aren't covered.
I love the color, texture and quality, but it's really going to be better suited to those with medium/large sized noggins.
Warm and stylish, but not durable
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
it's a cool looking hat. I got a bunch of compliments on it. it has fleece liner in the headband area ( a nice surprise, although sometimes too warm).
unfortunately, after a few weeks of regular wear the stitching between the fleece headband and the exterior is falling out extensively. I might rip it all the way out. Won't be as warm, but would be more versatile. the exterior gets really fuzzy, too. it won't look the the picture, above, for very long.
still, it's a cool hat.
Best Winter Beanie
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
The Coal beanie could easily be labeled Cool. It's a warm, snug fit with a soft fleece lining that slips comfortably over the ears and keeps things toasty even in 10 degrees.
