Description

Keep those little hands high and dry.

Give your little shredder the DAKINE Toddlers’ before you head out to build an army of snowmen this winter. DAKINE gave this glove a convenient side zipper so you can get those tiny hands in and out without a struggle, while the Weathershield fabric keeps the moisture out. The full-length gauntlet prevents snow from sneaking in, and the Thermoloft Insulation dials in all-day warmth.

I thought these mittens were going to be great- the description said that they had a zipper on the side for easy on/off which is KEY to ensure right placement of little hands and thumbs in the right spots of the mittens- but these mittens do NOT have zippers! The picture of the mittens made it seems like the zipper was protected by the flap of fabric- which would have been great (added weather protection), but, instead, it just allows for a gusset that opens the gauntlet of the mitten.

Cute designs, solid insulation, and decent sizing- just disappointed about being mislead about the zippers... have to send them back. :(

Groups:

Style: Got two pair in white deco for my 4 and 2 year old. They are darling.

Sizing: The size S was WAY too S for the 2 yr old and the size L was slightly to L for the 4 year old. Oh well... will be usable for next season as well right?

Quality: The plastic clips that clip the gloves together broken on one pair when I was opening them, the other broke the first day we used them. No big deal (until we lose one when they get separated). Otherwise, solid.

Warmth: This was numero uno for us and these do not disappoint. No complaints about cold fingers after hours in the snow. They have a soft and heavenly fleece lining. Smiles...

We don't have any snow yet so I can't fully advise... but buy 'em for the zipper alone! Trying to shove teeny tiny hands, time after time, into mini mittens can be frustrating for all involved. We've practiced with these and so far I'm happy with them. For now, well worth the cost & we'll let you know how they are when the snow flies! Cheers :)
The loop things are a bit weird and won't stay on with the tiny velco dot in rough and tumble snow play but we may figure something else out... perhaps the old-fashioned 'string' through the arms might still be the trick.
