These mitt are the best!! They are very warm and there is a pair of mini mitts inside perfect to buckle up the bindings without freezing your hands. The best mitts ive ever had :)
Best Mittens... No regrets!
WARM!!!!! Perfect for COLD days! Fit well, work well, look good too!. Love them.
not for skiing
These mittens are warm and cozy, fit well and are just what i wanted, but... they are not for skiers. The lining is too delicate for adjusting boots, grasping poles and moving fingers individually. The lining came with a tiny tear in it, I stitched it up, but it got worse. If you don't need to move your fingers much, these are great gloves.
i love 'em
i love my mitten my hands stay cozy and dry whenever i ride! They even have an awesome lining i can keep on when i'm getting ready or unready or just don't want to deal with bulk but wanna keep my hands warm!
I've always suffered from icy hands when skiing. These mittens solved the problem.
Warm, warm, warm!
Wore them in zero degree weather without the liners and my hands stayed warm. There was over 5 feet of snow, and not a bit inside. I am very happy, I have poor circulation in my hands and can no longer wear gloves in extreme temperatures. I also live in an area that gets lots of combined rain and snow....no moisture inside. Very happy and comfortable. I have very long fingers and narrow hands the mediums fit perfectly.
Look cute, felt great.
I got these mittens because I really only wanted to spend about $40 bucks. I wore them on a 10 degree day on the hill without the liners. I found the liners to be to bulky. I couldn't feel anything through the mitten with the liner in. Once I took the liner out, I could function with my hands. They did a good job at keeping my hands warm and dry, so I couldn't be happier. Plus they have a little pocket for a heat packet. I haven't used it, but that is always a plus for extremely cold days/nights.
I got a pair of the caminos for xmas. but...
I got a pair of the caminos for xmas. but the liners were misplaced during an out of town event. is there a way i could get the liners only?
if you don't have to stick to Dakines, then get these: http://www.backcountry.com/store/BCC0142/Backcountry-Liner-Glove-Womens.html
They should be pretty much the same as your missing pair. Although for me, I have found that wool liner gloves are much much warmer than synthetic ones that come w/ the overglove. Both Ibex and Icebreaker make those, but unfortunately BC doesn't have any of them in stock.
Bulky/stiff and has holes already
These are very pretty and warm on the mountain, and the mitten liners are especially cozy. However, the outer mittens are so bulky they make my hands feel useless for doing simple things like zipping my coat, etc. The liners are also developing holes already, after only 1 weekend of use! I don't recommend them.
Wrong size but great mittens!
Had to return them and purchase from another vendor to get the right size, but the mittens are great looking and very warm.
While I have not tried these mittens on the slopes yet, and therefore cannot attest to their warmth, I will say I love the look and feel of them. They are completely adorable and the fit is great (I did a little glove-sizing research prior to ordering). Now, mind you, I am a pretty picky person who notices the littlest of things, but the only qualm I really have is that the white of the strap is slightly off-white compared to that of the glove. But even I can get over that for this steal! Also, the white of the glove is a pretty bright snow white (just in case if you are trying to match them to anything).
