DAKINE Camino Mitten - Women's

You don’t have to be driving around in a hillbilly hot tub to rock the DAKINE Women’s Camino Mitten. This mitten brings all the warmth you’ll need on the mountain with plenty of Thermoloft insulation stuffed inside its stylish shell, and the Hipora insert ensures the snow stays out where it belongs.

  • Hipora insert keeps water out while allowing air to flow freely when you heat up
  • Removable fleece liner lets you adjust your gear for warmer or colder days
  • Rubber-Tec palm stands up to your grabs
  • Internal heat pocket lets you stash extra warmth when it gets downright nasty outside
  • Nose and goggle wipes on the thumb clean up the fog and the sniffles

Bottom Line: Ride, ride, slippity ride.

Got a medium and they fit tighter than I normally wear my mittens but the tight fit really does keep your hands warmer. These come with mitten inserts which were awesome because companies always make inserts in a glove style. I like the mitten inserts because they keep my fingers together and warm, unlike gloves. I took these out to Colorado over break and I didn't even need to wear the inserts with these mitts because they are nice and warm on their own. But I did use the mitten inserts in a pair of warn out airblaster mitts that I like too much to not wear, even thought they're on the cold side b/c they're 2 years old.
I got these at a good price, so worth it. I only wish they had gore-tex technology in them b/c then they would be invincible. I'm not sure if it was the snow or my hands sweating but they did get a tad damp inside after a day hiking the park in CO (but not enough bother me so I'm thinking it was sweat).

nice mitts

Wore em for the first time during an epic powder weekend. The sizes run small (length from finger to wrist is EXACT- i like my mittens with some space). couldn't wear the liners in the mitts but the fleece lining keeps hands dry and warm. sometimes if i ride hard, my hands get sweaty, but i didn't notice any clamminess. The thumbs are a little tight, but I guess it's worth it if they stay dry. Hope they last a few seasons. I hate stuff that doesn't last. The wrist straps aren't elastic, but the cuff cinchers are.

I have poor circulation, almost impossible to keep the pinkies warm.
With the liner I can stay warm in 20 deg. weather for over an hr just hangin. A first! Thumbs a little tight with the liner, but still cumfee.
