Slip your paws into the Dakine Men’s Cobra Glove before you head out to tackle the next big winter storm. With a Weathershield leather shell and Gore-Tex insert, this glove keeps your mitts high-and-dry while you slay the deeps. Thermaloft insulation dials in all-day warmth, the mid-weight fleece lining offers killer comfort, and the hook-and-loop closure keeps snow out.
... this is my first pair of Dakine Gloves as I have been loyal to Burton over the past 17 years. Just one of those things, if you find something that works, stick to it.
Well... the Dakine Cobra Glove fits that mold and I will continue to support this glove/company based upon their commit to a quality product
On colder days, 15 degree or below, I wear the Burton Gore Tex Under Mitt, but that may just be because I like to stay toastie.
Oh... by the way dogfunk ensured these gloves arrive to my door step in two days.
warm, waterproof, low profile, awesome gloves, only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 is the wrist closure needs a better way to cinch down. Not a huge deal or anything, just more comfortable to me. Over-all, great gloves though.
Dogfunk.com knows that no one wants the used-car-salesman experience, so we decided to show you the other guys prices in an effort to keep your shopping experience as informed as possible. The DAKINE Cobra Gloves are the bomb-digity! Not only are they super warm, but the Gore-Tex membrane helps so much with water resistance - no way is any dampness hitting my hands this winter. The DAKINE Cobra Gloves are super durable and don't rip like other gloves do. When you slip your hand into them, they are incredibly cozy and comfortable. Although I haven't tried wrangling cobras with these (like the recommended use says), I bet they are awesome for that as well! I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants a super comfortable/warm glove that keeps water out and warmth in.
How do you think they stand up against toe ropes? i live on a small minnesota hill and we have a sick park but its a rope tow. i bought a pair of Dakine gloves like two years ago and they held up pretty well but were not that warm and by the time i lost em i was back to buying Walmart gloves.
these will work for holding a rope but if you burn through gloves and want something more durable check out mountaineering gloves. they will stand up to a lot and keep the cold out.
As of today (12.10.12) there has been 9 reviews that average 5stars. I don't need to say anything more than that do I? Wrong... The gloves arrived from Dogfunk to my Doghouse in 2 days.
I am a snowboard instructor, and last year. I put over 100 days on these gloves and am still riding them this year. By far the warmest, toughest pair of gloves I've own. My roommate went through three pair, riding maybe once a week, before he was convinced to buy a pair; He will never go back.
If you are asking me if you should buy them... well, does Shawn White kill it in the pipe, but suck at slopestyle?
Hello! I have a sizing issue with these gloves. According to dogfunk.com, they state that a 8.5 inch length from bottom of wrist to tip of middle finger is an XL. However, on dakine's website, they state that the 9.5-10.5 inch circumference of the palm signifies XL.
My problem is that my wrist to middle finger length is 8.5 inches (XL according to dogfunk), and my palm cirfumerence is 9 inches (L according to dakine.com).
I am torn between a large and an extra large. Which should I get?
Thanks for the help ste. I ended up getting a pair of Large. Let's just say that if there were a size between Large and X-Large, it would be perfect! Large fits well, the finger length is just enough, and the palm is near perfect.
I've got the same problem. The large will fit perfect in length but if you make a fist it will feel a little tight, and good luck wearing liners. The XL will fit your fist but will be a little long in the digits. Not a huge deal for me.
If someone is wondering if they are a Large or X-Large, read my question for these gloves! I got the Large and am 100% satisfied. The gloves are just plain amazing. Warm and very maneuverable/comfortable.
If by tow rope you mean no handle and it's just holding onto the metal braided rope....then you should buy a roll of duct tape. In my years no glove has held up to the metal braided tow rope...unless you use duct tape!!
Beat my last pair of Cobras into the ground after about 200 days over three seasons. Loved them enough to snag another pair. Biggest improvement is the definitely the zip-closure on the cuff instead of the velcro which wore out after awhile. Love the warmth in such a low-profile designed glove. Hoping they stay toasty and don't pack out too soon.
