Go for it.
The Men's Crossfire Gloves from Dakine are low-profile, spring skiing and snowboarding gloves. Tough nylon and polyester outer material is treated with a DWR to help shed water and increase the life of the gloves. A tricot lining adds a bit of warmth and feels nice on your hands, while silicone palm grips ensure that your hands won't slip off mid-grab.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I wore these for just under 80 days on the mountain, and they held up great. They are durable and stand up to the abuse of knuckle-dragging. For me, fingertips are usually the first part of a glove that wears, but these didn't even fray. I lost my first pair, so I ordered new ones because for the money, you're not going to find a better glove.
Really warm, insulated gloves make me sweat in them and they get soaked and smelly. But with these, I never had that problem and they kept me comfortable on some pretty cold days. Most gloves will get wet if you're touching snow all the time, and these are no exception, so for the coldest weather, look elsewhere for something that will keep you warmer, but for any average day, I highly recommend these.
