Description

Putting a fresh twist on the knuckle duster.

Dakine's Duster glove may not be as intimidating as its brass cousin, but it's far more useful for beating up the slopes. There's 80 grams of high-loft synthetic insulation, to keep you warm most days on the hill. The DK Dry waterproof insert ensures that no water leaks in, even if the snowfall is turns to a downpour. The leather palm holds up to whatever you need to grab. There's a DWR treated synthetic shell that shrugs off snow like it's no big deal. Rounded out with a low-profile fit and zippered cuff, the Duster will be your go-to.

Glove not great...not terrible...

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

The gloves are comfortable and fit nicely with good dexterity. Spent a week in Salt Lake area in various conditions (warm, wet, icy, powder). Even after applying the sealing wax provided with the gloves, the leatther still became water logged at the end of the day. The moisture never made it to my hand so it wasn't too big of a problem. However, the gloves being wet on the outside made my hands colder. And the overall warmth level of the glove is good for moderately cold days (low teens) to warmer (just above freezing) but anything colder may be a problem. Overall I'd say they are an average glove
