The DAKINE Edge Tuner Tool is like a chiropractic session for your snowboard's edges after a season of rubbing shoulders with rocks, stumps, and rails. Well, maybe 'exfoliating mud bath' would describe it better.

  • Reversible, double-sided design offers you the option for a 0 degree or 2 degree beveling—these angles are indicated on the tuner
  • Backup file included for when the first one gets spent, stolen, or eaten
  • Ergonomic design makes gripping the tool easy without getting your fingers chewed up
  • Precision guide keeps the file aligned for side edge filing

Works well

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

need your edges sharp(er)? boom. done. makes it much easier than using a standalone file, and keeps you from de-tuning your edges on accident. just make sure to file in the direction of the arrows on the side!

Handy tool to keep at hand

This tool makes quick work of an edge tune, but I wish the file was held in a bit more securely, I had to shim mine with a piece of cardstock to keep it from moving around too much. No issues now.

Hey I just bought one of these and got a couple of questions.
- can this tool be used to sharpen both base and side edges?
- I see that the file included has 2 different patterns on each side, what are the different usage?

Responded on

Yes, it will work on both sides of the edge. The file can be adjusted laterally, so that you aren't grinding on your base material. One side of the file is more aggressive, the other less so.
