Nice but HUGE

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This was a nice quality bag, but just too large for a locker at the gym. It would be great for a week long trip. I returned it and got the medium size and it perfect for my daily trips to the gym.

Great for traveling!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was looking for a bag that i can put everything that ill be needing for a weeks vacation and then i came accross this site. I saw this bag and decided to give it a shot, that was the best move i did. I packed a weeks clothes, a couple of jeans , shorts, 2 pair of shoes, a blazer and vest wrapped in plastic and yet i still had enough space left. If you're a travel buff like me, this is a MUST.

will this fit in carry on?

will this fit in carry on?

This is actually a little too big to fit as a carry on for most airlines. Typically carry on size is 45 linear inches (length + height +width), this bag is 51 linear inches.

Responded on

Most airlines standard carry-on size is right around 45 liner inches for a pack. 27 x 12.5 x 11.5 in = 51 liner in. Leave a lot of empty space in this duffle and some sympathetic flight attendants might let it slide but you might want to leave a few extra dollars in your travel budget in case they make you check it.

Fits almost anything you want. I use it for my biking gear. Good for long trips or large storage.

Awesome Bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought 2 of these to keep boots, pants, coat, gloves and whatever else in. I wears a size 13 boot and they fit in the bag nicely along with everything else I take up the mountain. The bag feels durable and seems like it will last for awhile. The zippers are big and work great. The side pocket fits all my gloves hats and neck warmers. Would fit a pair of shoes in them too if that's what you'd want it for.

I would like to see a pocket for valuables or something inside but none the less this is an awesome bag especially for under $50.

Now that some of you have had the bag for longer - how has it held up?

It holds stuff. Heavy loads. I like it a lot. The side pocket is quite large to separate out shoes or something. great shoulder strap.

Love this bag

This bag is huge. It is the perfect size for sporting events when you need to carry a lot of things.

Water resistant. Polyester generally is pretty good against a light rain. But the zippers and seams will always fail first.

Great price for a durable and large bag. Packed 2 weeks of clothes for a trip, too large for carryon but a great checked bag. Great material, water resistant and strong.

Great bag!

I use it for carrying diving stuff during the summer and ski gear during the winter. I don't see any issues with it. It's pretty sturdy and it can fit a lot of gear. I recommend it in the size to price to durability ratio.

This is a huge bag, it fits everything you can put in it for a week plus vacation. The only thing i dont like about it is that it doesnt keep its form when only half full. But other than that a great bag.

Good Duffle

Taken this bag on a few trips now. It's held up nicely and still looks good. Great durable bag and has tons of room. Just sling it over your shoulder when you need your hands free. The shoulder strap has a bit of padding to cushion the load. Not really for a gym, but great for extended trips or for a gear bag.

Great vacation bag

I just bought and used this bag for a week long snowboard trip. This bag is too big to be carried on if full. I was able to fit all the clothes I need for the week long trip in this bag with no problem at all. The bag has two handles on each end of the bag and it makes it really easy to pull the bag out of a car.

The only con is that it does not hold it's shape and so it can be kind of awkward if it's not full.

Rocking Bag- DAKINE EQ Bag - Large - 4500cu in.

I love the capacity of the bag. It is something that will withstand weather. I wish there were more than just that one smaller compartment for items (i.e. small side zipper for small things like wallet or passport. This bag is definitely good for a weekend getaway or campingfor two adults and two kids. (granted I pack very tight and well) The handles and strap are very comfortable. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this bag. I love the DAKINE line of bags that I also own a cosmetic bag. I want to buy a rolling duffle bag as well.

Good Duffel Bag

Nice pocket for putting wet/muddy shoes, sandals, etc. in to keep from getting the large compartment goods dirty. Nice rubbery coating on the inside. It rolls up for packing into other bags (great for international travel, spare bag, laundry bag, etc.).

Decent duffel. Decent price.

Pretty solid duffel bag for the price. Just big enough to hold your gear without being overly bulky. Full size side pocket capable of holding a pair of shoes. Handles & padded carry strap are well made and don't seem flimsy at all. No complaints here!

Is this fit in the airlines carry on guidelines?

Generally the rule of thumb for carry-on is 22 x 14 x 9in. These are a little too big.
