Great bag. Straight up no nonsense duffel. Well constructed and attractive. Plenty of room for a 5+ day excursion. The end pocket is roomy enough for your bathroom stuff and chonies. Highly recommended for those who value rugged simplicity.

is this bag small enough to be brought on as a carry on for travel?
Not even close-it is wayyyyyyyyyyy too big. you are going to need something that is about 22 inches tall and no bigger than 3000 cu in. --------------I'd say closer to 20 L (1200 cubic in.)
gigantic bag. will fit everything you wanna put in there.i stuck my boots, 2 jackets, 3 pairs of snowboarding pants, 4 pairs of shoes, 10 shirts, 5 jeans, 2 pairs of gloves, my thermals, all my socks and boxers, a few board shorts, 4 beanies, and all my bathroom needs and i had space for a little more. amazing bag, there is just no hard liner on the bottom. that's the only downside
Can you make the bag small and compact...
Can you make the bag small and compact when not in use? I need a duffel to cover my backpack but that I can fold down and store when not traveling through airports
Absolutely! These bags fold completely flat, or you can fold multiple times. You wouldn't think so by looking at it when it's packed full of stuff though! I place all three bags flat under my dresser for storage and I only have a 3" clearing to get them under there. Good luck on your search.
Dakine EQ bag is a great duffel for the price
This bag is a great deal. Holds everything I wanted to cram in. Has a separate pocket for your small stuff. I like the stylin Plaid. another great Dakine product.
this bag is huge. you can fit a lot of stuff in here. stands up to the abuse of airliners when traveling. only downside is if it isn't full, the bag tends to bend in the middle and starts to sag cuz there's no hard plastic liner on the bottom. otherwise its great.
