Some people can afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a bag. For everyone else, DAKINE made the Freestyle Snowboard Bag.

The DAKINE Freestyle Snowboard Bag keeps your board safe during travel, and it doesn't have a bunch of bells and whistles to add cost. A padded bottom keeps your new ride from getting scratched when you release it to the control of those crazy baggage handlers. DAKINE added a center accessory pocket to hold goggles, gloves, or tuning tools, but they kept things simple to save you dough.

Is this bag worthy of air travel? If not what bag would be better for air travel?

Responded on

This board was designed for all types of traveling, including air.

it is a very spacious bag with an extra pocket for goggles and gloves.

there isn't enough space for boots but that's okay
you can fit your pants and jacket in it too.

good bag but...

i had this bag before the low roller came into my life and spoiled me. i have no complaints but i personally would spend a little extra and get a wheeled bag

Not Quite Big Enough

The bag material is very nice. The only problem is the bag is not big enough for my Burton bindings. I have had good luck with my Drake bindings, but my CO2's are a no go in this bag.

Good Bag, as advertised

I got the large bag to hold a 174cm powder board. Boots and tools fit great and tossed my pants and gloves in the center as padding. The airline had no issues with it. The zipper locks and water proof lining is a nice touch. Comes with a matching shoulder strap. It's an awesome the bag for the price.

Overall, a solid bag with great price

Decent bag with a nice size pocket for wax, towels, mini-tools, locks, or whatever else you may need for the day. The pocket is not large enough for boots but DaKine makes a boot locker with the same patterns if you so choose. It has a handle and a strap so it is easy to carry. The only flaw I found is that my 175 bag BARELY fit my Burton Custom 167 wide with bindings attached. In my opinion, I wouldn't trust the bag with the TSA but it is perfect for day trips and outings within driving distance.

Our son has a 154 board and we bought him the 157 bag. The bag could be a little higher or wider to compensate for the bindings. He has to push them down a little to get the bag to close. Has a matching boot locker and he likes the color.

if my neices board size is 146 what size bag do I get?

Responded on

I'd get a 157 if not a 165. The 165 will give you some wiggle room, especially if the bindings stay on, and you could always stuff some towels in there to make it more snug if need be.

Perfect for the Price

Really cool bag. It's on the cheaper end of the spectrum compared to other bags but there is no loss in quality. I have a 157 board and i bought the biggest size of this bag to make sure i had plenty of room to store things and i do. Solid buy if you're looking for a bag.
