This pack is seriously awesome! The only thing that I wish could be different is the backing. It is solid, heavy backing which is awesome, but it would be cool if it were mesh so I could use this hiking in the summer. But as it is, I think it's best for boarding, which is fine. It's big, has lot's of pockets, and I love the sleeve to keep your water tube from getting frozen. Can't wait to rock this!
It does not.

Does this pack have a buckled strap across the chest? And is the ski carry only A-frame style? And what the heck does a deployable pocket for your water bottle mean?

I THINK it has chest straps but I can't be sure. The deployable pocket for the water bottle just means that one of the side pockets unzips and becomes a side water bottle carrier.
I know the above because I was playing around with the bag in store. As for the A-frame ski carry - according to the Dakine website it has just the retractable cable ski carry: http://dakine.com/p/snowboard/packs/girls/girls-heli-pro-dlx
