I don't mean to seem like an idiot, but how do you use this

I don't mean to seem like an idiot, but how do you use this stuff?
I tried pushing it out from the bottom, and it didn't work, then was pretty confused about the indent in the center.
Someone help me out please?

Just apply before hitting the slopes and you'll have a blast! I just pull the wax completely out of the case, rub my board down, and then buff it with the cork pad!
