My fiance and I have both used this bag to tote our snowboards back and forth about 4 times. It is easy to fit board, boots, helmet, goggles and out snowboard clothing in. The rollers make it super easy to navigate through the airport and the hand holds are placed in position to make it very easy to carry.
Perfect bag- easily fit my 150cm board (bindings on), boots, helmet, pants, gloves, goggles, and clothes for a long weekend in Tahoe. Could have fit my hockey skates in there too if I really tried (the bag is that roomy) but I was afraid I'd go over Delta's weight limit! The bag itself is very light, but padded enough that your board won't be destroyed by baggage handlers. A+.
This is The One
I've had a snowboard bag or two, and this is my personal pick. I had a "locker" type bag at one point and would end up paying major heavy weight baggage fees. This baby is big enough for two boards, bindings and most of your gear.
It has wheels and padding and it easy to lug through the airport. Whats not to like?!!
Fantastic Bag - fit 2 boards with bindings
Fantastic bag! I have some of the Dakine luggage in the Flourish print already, so this is the third piece in this collection that I own now.
I have two boards that are both 149, so this bag works well with some extra room to spare for added gear. I was able to fit BOTH boards in the bag with their BINDINGS ON, which is something that I wasn't sure would be possible. To do this, one board had to go on the bottom with the bindings up, while the other board had to lay on top of it with the bindings down. It helps if your bindings are staggered a bit, and since my boards are shorter than the bag, I was able to easily accomplish this.
With the two boards in the bag with bindings on, the boots may not fit in the designated boot compartments. However, you could still fit plenty of other gear, such as gloves, base layers, pants, etc. Check out the attached image. I have the following in the bag for a 5-day trip:
- 2 pairs gloves
- 3 pairs socks
- 2 pairs snowboard pants
- 1 helmet
- 2 fleece tops
- 3 base-layer tops
- 3 base-layer pants
(I opted to leave my jacket out, as well as goggles so they don't get smooshed.)
You could easily fit all of your gear in here without strategic packing if you just have one board in the bag, or even if you have two boards in there, but take the bindings off of one board.
Like all Dakine luggage, the quality is stellar and comes with a lifetime warranty (as opposed to Burton bags, which only have a 1 year warranty). The bag has carrying handles on each end, and easy rolling wheels to help you schlep your gear around.
The only thing the bag is missing is a shoulder strap, which would help in those instances where you can't roll your bag (think walking in snow). All in all, this is a terrific bag, and it is a great way to transport and store your gear. If you ride a longer board, or if you want more room in your bag, look at the men's version of this same bag, which comes in longer lengths.
I think my boyfriend's statement when I loaded up the bag with my gear summarizes it best: "Hey, your board bag is better than mine now!"
Image of Boards Stacked
Here is the image of my gear before I zipped it up. The boards are stacked (bottom one has bindings up and top one has bottoms down.) Gear is sandwiched in between.
Is there any difference between this bag...
Is there any difference between this bag and men's bag of the same size? I like girls' highland color, but will I be able to put my 12 size boots in this bag?
Your size 12 boots will fit in this bag for sure!

Awesome for him and her
I have a Dakine roller for my skis and this was picked up for the little lady after her last bag bit the dust. It's perfect for one or two boards, best when the second board's bindings are removed though as that leaves a lot of room for more stuff. Stuff a helmet in, a few dozen layers, some snacks, a tv, and you're good to go. there's plenty of room for boots in the dedicated boot pouches so long as you organize your gear in a smart fashion. It gets heavy, but the wheels totally make up for that. It can be dragged in one hand with bags in the other, or strapped to a rolling suitcase for a manageable load.
The wife's boards are smaller than most, so I got the shorter bag, but the two sizes gives a rider plenty of options.
The bags are durable. They'll take a beating in the airports but stick it out, season after season.
Great board bag for flying
It makes such a difference having a snowboard bag with wheels for traveling with all my gear. Not to mention the handles on both ends and the side, the sturdy wheels, the handy outside boot compartments, and the fun designs which makes it super easy to grab my bag compared to all the other black ones out there! Love it.
my board is 143cm. would this bag be too...
my board is 143cm. would this bag be too big since it is 157cm?
thank you in advance! :)
No. The extra room will cause a fold in the bag towards the top, but the bag will still function just fine regardless. Also, the extra room should allow for additional gear (backpack, helmet) to be stuffed in problem free.
Just used this on the airplane and it worked great. Room for the boots and incidentals including pants and gloves and that sort of stuff. Liked the zebra print.
can this fit 2 boards?
can this fit 2 boards?
Yes, You would want to take the bindings off of one of the boards and put the boards together with a towel in between to protect them and then put the two extra bindings inside the bindings on the top board. You will not be able to fit it with the bindings on both boards.
I was able to fit two boards in here with bindings on. My boards are each 149, and I was able to lay them on top of each other (one facing up, and one facing down) with the bindings staggered.
Great board bag
This board bag holds my board and boots with no issues. The wheels are great and with a lifetime warranty, you can't go wrong.
looks cute, works well, holds all my crap!
shipping was super fast...I heart dogfunk.com.
