A little bigger than most carry-ons but, then again, the homie next to you was required to buy two seats, so you shouldn't feel bad.

Tough bag just can't stand up for itself
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
This is a great little bag. Fits perfectly into the overhead carry on compartment on all airlines i've traveled with so far. The bag opens to a lot of space that can easily pack for an extended trip.
While many carry on luggage is extendable, Dakine has made it to where the extended part of the bag is not adjustable. It is an extended suitcase.
There is only one con for me with this bag, the legs for the suitcase to stand upright are on the extended part of the bag, so if not properly packed ( i suggest putting heaver items towards the bottom or legs of the compartment so it is not top-heavy) then this bag has the tendency to tip over.
Like i said, it's a tough bag, great build, great durable material, just doesn't stand up as good as others.
Love this Bag
Fits perfectly in the overhead space and I was able to cram 3 weeks worth of stuff in it for an international trip. Love this bag!
DAKINE Overhead Rolling Bag - 2600cu in
Does the entire height and width meet...
Does the entire height and width meet carry-on airlines restrictions?
Hey Nic D.,
Thanks for your question.
TSA regulations for carry on luggage is 45 linear inches which is approximately 22? x 14? x 9?. This bag is 44 linear inches and will be good for carry on.

This bag does exactly what I need it to. The space is sufficient for a carry on. Durable material and alot of pockets.
Cant go wrong.

I love all of Dakine's bags. All made with great quality and have always been satisfied with their products. Whenever I have had an issue with backpacks for school, Dakine honored their warranty and replaced my bag at no cost. I have been traveling with duffel bags for a while and have always had to pay for my bag to be checked. This carry on bag solved my issue of taking carry on when I travel as much as I do without paying a baggage check fee. It fits perfectly in an overhead bin and meets the specs for carry on luggage for most airlines. I have enjoyed this bag thus far for the small weekend trips I take very often and highly recommend it.

Just got back from a week trip with the Overhead Rolling 2600. It met all expectations. Bigger than some "22" carry-ons and enough pockets to keep stuff organized without being cluttered. Wheels, handles, zippers, and materials all functioned well. Only checked it for half of the flights so it didn't see tons of abuse. Solid product.
Served me well
I bought this bag for a recent trip to Houston. It served me well with no issues. I selected this size because it fits in the overheard compartment; I didn't want to check bags if I didn't have to. 4 out of 5 stars for good quality and service.
Awesome Rolling Bag
Dakine makes excellent quality packs and their luggage stands the test of travel as well! I love this sized rolling bag as it is slightly bigger than other overhead bags but still fits in the overhead bin as long as you don't overstuff the outer pockets. I've used this thing for years both as a carry-on and checked luggage and it has stood the test of time with super durable zippers and nylon material.
This is the best bag!!!
Okay. I NEVER write reviews. I just don't take the time. I was so impressed with the customer service from Dakine, that I had to share!
I bought the Overhead carry on bag in 2008. I have travelled all over the world with it, and it is very durable. I even managed to get enough stuff in it for my 34 day trip to Mexico and Thailand last winter!
I contacted customer service because the seam on the inside mesh closure (doesn't exist on the new model) was starting to come apart. I was still able to use the bag. It wasn't a huge deal, however, customer service simply asked me to answer a few questions in an email to them, and attach a photo of the damage. Two minutes after sending them the info, they emailed me back asking me which colour of new bag I wanted since they didn't make the same print I had on my older model!
They didn't ask for a receipt, or when or where I purchased it, and they didn't even want me to return the old bag to them!
The whole process of dealing with customer service took 15 minutes! That all happened on Monday. The following Thursday, a had a brand new bag delivered to my doorstep!
Do not even blink an eye at the cost of any Dakine product. It is well worth it for the quality, and the service that backs it up!
The space is ok. I just didn't think it was durable enough for my travels and kind of a minor detail, but it would never stand up right when it was full, and this bothered me. It would keep falling down, it didn't balance right.
