DAKINE Pipe Snowboard Bag

The DAKINE Pipe Snowboard Bag is a no- frills solution to getting your board from one airport to the next or keeping your gear together for those weekend pow-hunting trips. A removable shoulder strap makes for a comfortable carry, and a full-length zipper gives you easy access to your board.

Bottom Line: You can’t always get what you want, but sometimes you get ... you know the rest.

Good for the $

For an inexpensive light travel board bag it is great. On a weekend trip I can fit board, bindings, boots, jacket, pants, gloves, goggles in it with a little room to spare. I would not take it on an airplane because of the lack of padding, but for everything else it is perfect.
For those of you that expected padding, it clearly states there is none. Same durable fabric used in most Dakine luggage.

Solid Bag

By:

This bag is nothing fancy but gets the job done. Looks pretty cool in rasta. Its really meant to keep it from getting scratched up in your car or when your storing it for the off season. Overall, awesome for what it costs!

this is the fist snowboard bag iv purchased. i always rode second hand boards until this year i treated myself to a brand new gnu park pickle. without thinking i quickly ordered a bag to keep the board in good shape while in my back seat and the dust off it in the summer. anyway my boards a 156 and i ordered this bag in a 157. my bindings are size m, and gnu flow-in style. boots size 10. think im gonna have enough room to fit it all or was i a lil to over eager to protect my board and make a big mistake?

That's cause burton bindings are kinda retarded.

I ordered this bag size 165cm, but my board is 165cm. Will it fit my board with my flow bindings attached? Do you think there will be enough room for size 13 boots too? What about boots / goggles / gloves / socks ?

Can i stick my dog / cat / recliner / big screen tv too ? =P ... No srsly, do you think I will be able to atleast get my board / bindings / boots in there?

For what it is its Great

By:
May 5, 2010

For what it is this is a great bag. Its not meant to be the bag you take your board on a plane with, there is no padding/protection, but it would be fine if you were to stick it on your roof racks if you were driving to the snow.

Its a little slim, so fitting your bindings could be a little tight, but I've found you just have to fiddle around a bit and your board will fall into place. It fits my boots easily (size 10) and I have room to spare, no extra pockets though...

I bought the 165cm size even though my boards a 154, just because they were all the same price, the extra room can't do any harm!

I would get the 157 cause it'll give you a little extra room for gear or tools, and it won't be so big that it's too hard to handle.

good bang for buck

By:
February 14, 2010

when buying this bag be very careful. Bring in your board and actually try putting your board in it first. i got a 165 bag to fit my 158 board. Also i have large burton bindings and they fit this bag fine plus i put my burton moto boots in it. This bag is great just be sure to measure out when buying.

You can cram all your gear in here. the bag is designed for board only but as long as you size up you can fit more stuff.

Nice for Price

Good all around bag. Reliable, and helps keep all your snowboarding gear in one place. If your board falls in between sizes, I recommend to size up for extra room.

Not padded at all. Just a cheap ($ wise) solution to transporting a snowboard.

thats why you buy the bag that is bigger than the board to accomidate the space for the bindings. you oviously never had a bag before. i have a 162 board bag and my 156 banana w/ union force binders fit perfectly with a little extra room

Too thin. Ugly color

Disappointed to find the bag had absolutely no padding
the bomber white color was more of a mint green. Not sure how that works

Too Small

By:
December 1, 2009

the bag LOOKS sweet, but its too small. After reading the below review I thought if I sized up for the bag it would fit... but I was wrong. My 155cm board w/ bindings does not fit into the 157cm bag I ordered. I have ladies M bindings but the same thing as buddy's pic below shows, once you get to the bindings its impossible to zip. So unless you are going to use this bag to store a spare board w/o bindings, I recommend you DON'T buy this bag. Spend the extra $20 and get yourself something functional.
