Grip it and ... strip it? flip it? whac ... wait.

In the world of back-foot traction, the DAKINE Pyramid Studs are the 8th wonder. Randomly assign a position to the nine tiny studs or make a really, really, cool pattern your bros will find awe-inspiring. You might get some traction out of these babies too ... but the artistic possibilities are cooler.

Get these studs!

Great Product! Got these for my burton Honcho and have been great! Haven't lost one and the do exactly what they are supposed to! Keep my book on the board! Way better than most ugly rubber stomp pads out there.

Get these studs!
nice stomp diamonds

nice stomp diamonds

Small, metal, and pointy. Great to fill in spots ur other pad didnt cover, or if u just need more traction. Will update the photo with them on my board soon

great stomp traction

got these for my Lib Tech T Rice pro for more traction, i have the Lib metal posts and the Lib banana but i still needed a little more traction points. these fit in the spaces i needed the extra traction and look awesome

Seal of approval

These work when applied right. I have 15 days on the mountain so far this season with these. Have not lost one yet.

I liked these major because my board has a pretty awesome top graphic and I didn't want to cover it. You can place the studs anywhere. Just follow the instructions and bam! you're slip free.

They all fell off, i have one left

I put these on 3 weeks ago and they've all come off.

im giving them 2 stars anyways cause when they were on the board, they were awesome. Gave me grip like i've never known and they may have come off because i failed to follow the instructions to the letter.

I didn't have any rubbing alcohol, but used hand sanitiser to clean the board, also, I didnt have any heavy books so just left some heavy boots on them.

i found that the bulk of them fell off when i got off the lift (front foot still strapped in) and slapped the tail of the board down to clear the snow from my bindings. Thats when they fell off.

I'll buy another batch and install them properly just to make sure it wasnt me.

must buy for snowboarders

a stomp pad is a must for your snowboard. and as far as stomp pads go, this one is great. it provides the needed function plus it looks cool without covering up or taking away from the design on your board. my only advice would be to buy 2 packs. that way you can use the studs to make much cooler designs. also, make sure to put the time in to the prep work so the studs stick.

Nothing but The Best

I have been using the DAKINE Pyramid Studs stomp pad over the years there is nothing bad to say about them. They are by far the best stomp pad to buy. I like how you can arrange them however you want. They dominate ever other stomp pad. Other stomp pads are flat and barley give any sort of grip. You cannot go wrong with getting the DAKINE Pyramid Studs. I highly recommend these!

Did everything the directions said (including the use of surgical gloves to ensure no oils on the surface) and they held well in cold weather but fell of in extreme cold weather. not worth the money spent.

Stick & Fall

These little stubs popped off of my board within the first couple of days of use. I'm pretty sure it's because I forgot to follow a set or two. I resorted to using Gorilla Glue and automotive-grade sealant. That got them to stick.

Maybe I got a dud...

I'm surprised by all the 5 star reviews. I followed the application instructions- clean/dry surface, press, wait 24+ hrs (duh, not my first traction pad). However, one stud came off in the first run and I started loosing them during each session, until there were 2 left. I ripped them both off (easily) and got a real stomp pad-, the Demon Snow Zeus Stomp (black not pink). The traction isn't that great on the pyramid studs especially compared to the Demons. I find they are more for style really, they do look pretty sick, but not for functionality. Maybe I'm too hard on my stomp pads, but my demon has lasted 3 seasons going on 4 and my girl has one too the- Demon Snow Quatro Hybrid Stomp Pad, that she loves. So, I recommend Demons. (Too bad they only have pink ones on here :)

Responded on

Did you heat up the surface you applied them to first? My instructions said to heat it up with a blow dryer then stick them. I did that and not a single one has fallen off.

Stomp Pyramid

Classic style. Skip the cheap plastic, follow the application steps, and stand out from the crowd.

Get them..

Love them. I have a pretty sick top sheet graphic, so I didn't want to cover that up with a huge ugly stomp pad. I only used 4, you barely notice them and they work better than I ever expected.

Nice stomp pad

A very good stomp pad, you can create pretty cool patters with it but the brass version is more yellow than gray so watch out for that...

Anyway, make sure you apply them correctly as they tend to fall off :(

Awesome Studs

Hit 4 sessions and not once did I slip off of the lift. Held great with no sign of coming off! I'll review after about 20 more sessions.

Chicks dig em'

Look cool don't block your graphx. Follow the directions or they'll fall off.

Review Title

awesome... but a PITFA to put on...well actually mounting them is easy, but i wanted them in the pattern shown in the pictures...and they come just as you see, individually

so i cut the plastic border out of the box, and the backing of the cardboard, and used them with blue painters tape to create a border. then used the plastic (it has recessed holes for them to fit in for showcase) and marked on the tape where each pyramid border was

after that it was easy.... just a pita

def use rubbing alcohol on the board before hand... directions say to use a hair dryer to heat up the board before mounting - i dunno. dont own one

mountain opens this weekend so i havent tried on there, but went on my backyard with snow and tried it. work well

Love these! I have had them on my board for 3 seasons now and they are still on and look awesome, I get complements on it all the time. Be sure to follow the instructions when putting them on and they will stick forever.
