Upgrade.

Your old valve is starting to look like your puppy's chew toy, and with the way it leaks, it looks like you are trying to mark a trail so you can find your way back to camp. Switch out that old, nasty valve with the Dakine Replacement Bite Valve. Dakine revamped the design on this valve to prevent leaks and to give you quick, easy access to hydration.

  • Angled design means this valve meets your mouth without having to leave a few feet of hose dangling around
  • Over-sized construction is easy to use even if you're wearing gloves
  • On-off valve prevents leaks
  • FDA-approved polyurethane won't make your water taste like plastic

The valve on my Hydrapak kept leaking when opened. Ended up getting this valve, installed super easy and completely fixed the problem. Valve seemed to be able to fit a variety of different sized tubing as well.

My new Dakine Drafter came with this bite valve. 1) it can't be opened/closed one-handed (while riding) 2) it leaked from day one and 3) the hose is the same size, so you can just swap in a Camelbak bite valve. :D

This replacement is loads better than the old one supplied with my pack. It twists open and closed instead of having the fear of breaking your teeth to pull the old one open. Easy. Me likes.

Terrible design
It's really hard to switch between on and off. Really requires you to remove your gloves.
Water flow is adequate.

I replaced mine with a camelbak big bite valve and it flows more water and is more convenient to use on the mountain

I do have the newer Dakine hydration bags in my pack, so this is perfect for replacing my dirt filled (ew) nipple i have on there currently. Sweet! Cleaner tasting water.

these valves do not fit the older style blue hose made by nalgene for dakine. if you need those, nalgene sells direct from their website.
