Description

A glove covered in duct-tape might look rad, but make no mistake; it's knocking on heaven's door.

DAKINE expects that you'll mercilessly thrash your glove, so they built the Men's Rover Glove with a Gore-Tex membrane, a nigh-bulletproof outer shell, and a leather palm to shrug off your abusive ways. Grab your gnarled edges, drag your two-stroke monster around, or shovel booters until your arms fall off; no matter what, this glove is designed to your fingers warm, dry, and protected. A one-hand cinch gauntlet closes over your jacket's cuff so powder can't invade your sleeve. Do your worst and the Rover will bring its best.

Soft palms. Don't know how long they'll last.

These are the cheaply designed pull-tabs that feel like they'll rip apart anytime soon.

Good Gloves but Bad Finger Lengths

I got these gloves on sale from Dogfunk. The aesthetics are beautiful (I ordered the Cognac colour) and the gloves are made with a Gore-Tex insert and PrimaLoft One insulation, however, there are two issues that I personally don't like.

First, is the length of the pinky and index fingers are way too long. I wear size small in every glove (including these ones), but the pinky and index lengths feel unorthodoxically too long.

The second thing is that the leather pull-tabs for the hem cinch and security strap feel cheap. I'm afraid to pull on them too hard because they feel like they'll rip apart.

Otherwise, these are great gloves for the price I got them at. The gauntlet is really slim and not huge, which is perfect for riders who want to be able to wear their jacket cuffs over their gloves. And PrimaLoft One is Albany Int'l Corp's highest performing insulation for warmth, water resistance, softness and compressibility.

All in all these are great gloves but the poor finger length sizing is a disappointment.
The leather on the palms also feels a little soft; it remains to be discovered how long they'll last.

Also, the left glove does have a goggle wipe contrary to what Dogfunk's Tech Specs say.

Nice gloves!

These gloves are great looking and feel great inside, BUT i haven't had a chance to test them out yet but with the Gore-Tex I'm sure they'll stay dry and warm. unfortunately I am exchanging the size L for an XL because my fingers are to long for the L ( my middle finger is 3.5 inch long, and my index is 3 in. long, they but up against the end to tightly). Even though it fit fine around the biggest part of my hand great which is 9 inches aorund the knuckles.
P.S. - i got the Cognac pair and they do come with a GOGGLE WIPE on the left thumb! even though it says it doesnt

Best gloves I have ever worn

OK, granted its not quite snowing yet, but i have been wearing these gloves because they fit and feel so nice. My hand is wide at the knuckles, gloves can be tricky for me. I ordered the XL's and for the first time in my Glovelife i have something that fits my hand in all the right ways. The build on these exudes quality, the feel of the leather the super soft snot patch, Goggle squeegee, Plus Primaloft to keep me warm and Gore-Tex to keep me dry. I'm stoked and my roommates are weirded out and cannot figure out why I am wearing Snow gloves inside, I'll let them keep guessing while my digits are in paradise.

Update:
A few Months into the ski season in Utah I would like to add that I have yet to find a day too cold or wet for these puppies. Sure on some wetter stormy days the palm leather would saturate which would take a little away from the warmth factor but the Gore-tex has kept all unwanted moisture out of my gloves.
