DAKINE Scout Mitten - Men's - 2006

Bought these mittens expecting an average quality of a glove.. These mittens are great! fit is awesome and they are extremely warm! come with inserts which is really nice! My hands sweat in them every time I use them. Best mittens I have owned by far

These gloves do what they are supposed to. I really like the liners though, it was a nice added bonus that I wasn't expecting. Great Gloves!!!

Great mittens, are very water and windproof and were too warm with included mitten liners. My only small complaint is they seem to run a little small in length.

these keep the powder out on those deep days and you can take out the liner on those power park days

damn these things are HOT. i've going to cut the inner liners out of them and just run em with the included silky liners. wiper blade is on right thumb, which sucks, cuz thats my snot thumb. kept slicing my nose open with the damn thing.

I had a chance to try out these gloves tonight, and they performed admirably. It was pretty cold, and I never used the liners, and yet my hands stayed warm all night. I tend to pull off my gloves a lot, so having the liners on would have impeded my ability to use my hands, so I decided against using them unless I needed them. They were warm enough on their own, and even once my hands got so cold it became hard to use them, I'd put the mittens on and have toasty fingers in a matter of minutes (which I attribute half to the build quality of the mittens, half to mere fact that all my fingers are now in contact with each other and can warm up faster). The goggle wipe is only on the left thumb, which is nice so that if you have to wipe your nose, you still have a remaining thumb to do it with. Though having the goggle wipe at all is quite nice.

Great mittens, great price, so why 4 stars? Because I'm picky, and ideally I'd be able to have a mitten with a zippered pocket on the top so I could drop a hothands packet in there to keep my fingers super warm all the time. Like I said, I'm picky, but in my eyes that would flat-out be a better mitten.

I love these mittens, they keep my hands so warm!for the ladies..THESE ARE MENS GLOVES, so go a size smaller, i haven't needed to use the liners in my gloves yet...so toasty~!

These mittens keep my hands toasty, i haven't needed to wear the liner yet but is nice that i have that as an option. These are MENS gloves, which i didn't realize at first so girls, stick to the size chart, i had to go a size smaller then what i normally wear because they are MENS! Truely amazing mittens for the deep pow.

Having had frostbite on my fingers as a child my fingers are really sensitive and get cold very easy. I need mitts that are actually mitts inside (not a glove liner). These come with a removable mitt liner which you can toss in on the cold days or take out on the warm ones. They are great value. If they can keep my hands warm they are good gloves.

THe mittens are super bomb .has everything nose wipe/goggle wipe/wrist cinch/the removable liner is a really soft MITTEN. no reason to pay 100$+ for a mitten when DAKINE makes the scout.

Probably a great product and looked forward to wearing them, but I got the XLs and they were just a bit small. I really find it hard to believe other people are calling them huge, I didn't want to but had to settle for a pair of Burton XLs that fit fine.

returned after one day of use. liner would come out from the thumb when taking them off. making it difficult to put the gloves back on. guess its not a huge deal if you keep your gloves on all day, but I take mine off nearly every run..

Keep my hands very warm. I was in -20 weather in Alaska with these puppies and they kept me warm. The liners are very sweet for those 20 degree days.

mittens got too warm with the liners on a sunny day but definitely came in handy during the snowy day. i didn't even have to use hand warmers.

these mittens are incredibly warm. they come with an extra liner, but unless its in the (-) you don't need em. but they seem a little loose for the size. these are so well made its like practicly stealing them for the price.

I really needed new mittens this year.
I decided on these, ordered the white ones loved em. Only down fall they were HUGE!
I have long nails and when I order/buy mittens or gloves I normally get a large. Got these in an X-Large and wow you could fit like 3 hands in 1.
Gonna mail them back tomorrow and get the same color just a smaller size.
On a side note they seem like they are going to be roast-y toasty warm. Like the thin little liner that comes with them too.

The mittens require the use of the inner glove in order to keep 10 degree weather out. The lens scapper doesn't adequately take ice off of goggles. I ordered a size too big; they run large. All in all I was pleased with their aesthetic value and durability.
