DAKINE Scout Short Glove - Men's - 2006

Dakine gave the Scout Short Glove a smaller gauntlet to make it easier to slide under your jacket cuff. It also eliminates bulky wrists, so you don’t look like you’re smuggling a dachshund in your sleeve.

  • Pre-curved fingers for natural movement
  • Roll-back finger design for durability
  • Hook-and-loop wrist closure gives you total adjustability

Bottom Line: Dachsund-smuggling is legal in the United States. In Germany it’s a capital offense.

Reliable Gloves

By:
January 2, 2013

These have been great so far; here's why:
The short gauntlet easily fits under my jacket cuffs.
They are warm and I've rarely had to use the liners that were included with mine.
They have stayed waterproof after washing them a few times (following the instructions in the label.)
The wrist leashes are awesome- I can just pull off my gloves on the lift for whatever reason without having to worry about losing them.

Great gloves- highly recommended.

Awesome shipping

I purchased these gloves for my son for Christmas. This site was quick to respond. I had to work fast to hide them before he got home from school. I was very happy with the products appearance and quality. The picture does not do them justice. I will order again from this company in the future.

Solid Gloves

By:
November 13, 2009

I got these gloves last year and am very pleased with them. Past gloves I've had have gotten ripped very quickly but these held up marvelously. The liners are nice as you can wear different combination's to match the temperature. The goggle wipe is also a good feature. They stayed waterproof and my hands never got wet, excellent purchase.

These gloves are awesome. With inserts, you can't go wrong with this glove. When it is warmer outside don't use the inserts, when is colder than (well you know) wear the inserts in the glove and your hands will love ya.

Sick Gloves

These are perfectly warm and come with a nifty little liner for those extra-cold days. The only time my hands got wet was when I fell in a pond.

Anyone know the accuracy of the sizing chart?

According to the sizing chart, i would get a Large. Just making sure everyone else has been satisfied with their size.

dakine has always been right on for size with me. their fit is pretty universal, so if you are a large in most other gloves, you will be a large with dakine as well!

where is the removable liner?

By:
February 24, 2010

These gloves are great and very warm...but the fleece on the inside is not removable, either that or I didn't receive my liners. Where is the removable liner?

Decent Cheap Gloves

By:
December 1, 2009

Got these on sale here for $35 so can't complain too much. Really dug the colors for me (black and green), the liners are cool as well - goggle wipe is handy - and dexterity is fine. Not the warmest gloves I have ever used but $35 bucks they do just fine.

Better than Burton's but...

By:
March 13, 2009

I wanted the best snowboarding gloves for under $50, didn't matter what brand and i ALMOST got them in these Dakine's.

They're great gloves, with the goggle & nose wipe, under-the-cuff wrist, easy maneuverability and good gripping surface... BUT they just weren't warm enough, even with the liners!

I was at Snowshoe Mtn, WV in mid-Feb with temps in the 30's during the day when i rode the most. My buddy only had Northface liners and his hands were warmer than mine with these Dakine's + liners. Great gloves on durability & utility but they just didn't keep my fingers very warm, so 3 stars. Still incredible for the price i paid tho! ($30)

Roomy but not Bulky

By:
January 12, 2009

I really like these gloves for many reasons. To list a few: the inserts and perfect for driving and those -20 degree days on the slopes, the short gloves don't look bulky and fit nicely inside my coat, they keep my fingers dry and super warm and give them a little wiggle room, and they look sick.

Kept my hands warm even when wet from sweating them out from the inside. Short cuff is really nice too - keeps wrists dry but still easy to take on and off

Totally Decent Gloves

By:
March 31, 2009

Very warm and super comfy. The liners are awesome, and nose wipe and snow scraper features work damn good. WIthout the liners on they make great warm weather gloves. Kinda wish I bought a pair with actual gauntlets but I'm still very satisfied!

The inner liner that the glove comes with is nice. But the glove is way to big and bulky.

Solid Glove

By:
February 20, 2009

After being disappointed by previous gloves, these were a nice change. The grippy palms show no signs of ripping after the first season of using them even after grabbing sharp edges and shoveling. The only problem I have with them are the liners. If your hands are a bit sweaty they stick to the liners and pull them out every time you remove a glove. Also, if the liners are damp when it starts to get cold at night they sometimes freeze from the inside out.
