Hearty like their namesake, except way, way warmer.
Whether you're chronically cold or just venturing onto the mountain in sub-zero temperatures, the Dakine Sequoia women's mittens are about the warmest mitts you can slip your hands into. That's thanks to the whopping 350 grams of high-loft insulation. There's a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable insert that's guaranteed to keep you dry, and if that's not enough, there's an internal pocket for heat packs to turn these mitts into mini-ovens. The tacky Rubbertec palm grips tight to your board, or whatever else you need to grab. Since you'll want to tell all your friends how much fun you're having, there's removable liners that are touch screen compatible. That way, your fingers won't turn blue when you're texting at a thousand words per minute.

Fancy mitts, well made, worth the price. The palms have great grip. Glove-style liners are nice as well. Haven't gotten much wear out of em' yet since I bought them on super sale in the spring, but I'm liking the pockets for hand warmers and they seem like they'll be really warm overall. Wish they were a little less bulky, but for as much insulation as they have, I'm not sure that's possible. Def follow the size chart, since I would have normally bought an XS, but the SM fit just right.
