DAKINE Terminal Backpack - 2100cu in - 2006

The DAKINE Terminal backpack has some of the best laptop protection around, so you can skate to school without worrying about eating pavement on the way. The side-access sleeve is super padded for your electronics, and the Terminal is one of the few packs we've seen with a dedicated pocket for stowing unruly computer cables. For your listening pleasure, there's a CD/MP3 pocket with a cord port, as well as fleece-lined pockets for your sunglasses and cell phone. Dual-density shoulder straps keep you comfy with a loaded pack, and a breathable Dri-Mesh back panel and shoulder straps prevent a dripping-wet back after your skate to campus.

Bottom Line: The skateboard commuting revolution.

Great Product

I recently bought the Terminal backpack because I have been looking for a Dakine pack that would hold my laptop for school. I also wanted to use it as a carry on pack, as I just traveled to New York last week. The pack is great, very roomy, durable, and convienient. The separater in the main compartment is nice, along with the size of the main compartment. The smaller pockets come in handy on the front, as I was able to fit my iPod, charger, sunglasses in the sunglass pocket, and many other items as well. It is also very comfortable, as the shoulder straps are very padded, along with the back padding. It is a great size, without being too large. I was able to carry it on the all of the planes with no problem, and it fit under the seat to follow guidelines. All in all, I am very pleased with the pack, and am excited to use it come fall semester. This site was so great as well, I ordered the pack and it showed up the next day! I used the free shipping option too, not even next day air. I will continue to shop from this site and Dakine in the future.

Terminal is well designed

I use this pack for business travel with a laptop, as well as a ton of other electronic junk. While I wish there was more pockets, the spatial organization is pretty good allowing me to find stuff without too much digging. The side opening is great for airport security lines, though make sure you zip it up after! The only thing that bothers me is the handle that's built into the straps goes right up against my neck, but after awhile I stopped noticing it and it feels quite comfortable. The construction is quality, and I like that it doesn't have a ton of useless straps, buckles and cords hanging off of it like many packs. Plus, as an Oregonian, I like to represent with a local company. This pack would be perfect if it had a few more zippered enclosures inside, a bright colored interior for finding stuff in low light and the option to remove the waist straps. As it is, it's better than most of the packs I looked at and I looked for a long time.
