DAKINE Titan Mitten - Men's

The DAKINE Titan Mitten brings waterproof, insulated warmth and a host of features to keep you riding in Arctic temperatures. Behind the Titan’s Weathershield shell and RubberTec palm, a Gore-Tex waterproof breathable insert protects the Thermoloft synthetic insulation from melting snow and ice. A removable, washable stretch fleece liner amps up warmth in extreme cold.

Bottom Line: The one mitt you’ll want when frostbite is in the forecast.

Awesome mittens. Warm.

By:

My hands are normally quite cold. I went boarding with these mittens in 0 Fahrenheit plus windchill and my hands were toasty warm.

Sick Mitts

By:

Didn't ride in super cold weather yet but they feel and look great. The 3 days with them so far have been fantastic, no complaints.

Holy Awesome Mitt, Batman

By:
August 11, 2011

I'd never bought any snowboarding equipment online before, so I didn't know what to expect. I bought these mitts on sale, and would now likely pay the full price for them, as they are excellent build quality. The stitching on the mitts are tight and strong, and the fittings are all great. I was worried my hands would be too small for the "large" size, (I usually wear a medium) but they weren't. They fit wonderfully! Just go by the sizing chart they provide online. When I opened the package and put my hand in the gloves, I was surprised to feel soft fleece, as I thought that's what the inner liners would be for. I thought the mitts would just be a shell, but they are indeed a complete mitt, with great insulation and nice dexterity. The inner liners included are a good quality, soft fleecy goretex mitten shaped liner, with some grip on the palm. And even without using the liners, these mitts are very warm. With the liner? You're talking Mr. Heat Miser! And that is precisely what you want when you board in the awesome, yet super cold Salt Lake Mountains. I'm not worried about the cold anymore, which will make for a nice season of comfortable boarding. The mitts themselves have a nylon waterproof outer shell, including a zipper for hand-warmers (I don't think I'll ever use them), a tough grip material on the palm, a soft velvet patch for wiping your shnoz on the thumb of the right mitt, and a plastic goggle scraper on the thumb of the left mitt. The powder skirt at the end of the mitt is a thinner material for going over your jacket and cinching tight with the elastic pull tab. They thought of everything. The inside of the mitt (without the liner inside) is a medium-thick fleece insulation and is very pleasant against the skin. With the liner, your hand feels snug, supported, and very warm with the doubled amount of insulation. I LOVE everything about these gloves, and I have no doubt they will last years to come. I'm recommending them to anyone who boards (I'll let the skiers freeze).

Excellent

Great design. Very comfortable, warm, dry, and useable. Doesn't feel like you're wearing baseball mits like some of the other very bulky mittens out there. I have really poor circulation in my hands. The wrist adjustment is in the perfect place to keep the mittens on, but allow for good circulation with the ability to grip poles, and open the flask to take a little nip.

I really like the features like the "nose wipe", zipper pockets, and the liners are great with the grippy palms. I even use them driving.

My hands measured a snug 9" which is a L. I ordered the XL (as I usually do) and they fit perfect.

If you wear wrist guards unfortunately these mittons are not for you. They have a constriction at the wrist not allowing you to pass your wrist guards through even if you purchase a size larger than your normal size.

Nice mitten, liner is a mitten, not a glove.

By:

This Dakine removable liner is a mitten, just so you know your fingers will touch. Similar Burton mittens have fleecey gloves as the removable liner--which I prefer but oh well. You could use what ever liner you want with these.

This mitt is super warm and flat out awesome. Mid 20's with windchill and my hands were still totally warm even without the liners. All the extra features are sweet, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone... it's a great piece for the price.

Nice gloves!

By:

These gloves are so warm and super waterproof! I just went boarding and it was -1 degrees outside but i didnt need to use the liners because my fingers will sweat. I would highly recommend buying these for great soft comfort, warmth and durability.
