DC Ace 13 Insulated Pant - Women's

Your goal: to ride the mountain with your friends, break your comfort zone, and hopefully find some powder. The DC Women’s Ace Insulated Pant's goal: to offer adequate waterproofing, warmth, and breathability—oh, and style—so you can worry about accomplishing your goal and not worry about what your outerwear is up to.

  • 5K waterproofing provides adequate waterproofing for fair to moderate days on the hill
  • Lightweight 40g insulation provides extra warmth without laying it on too thick
  • Tailored fit wears comfortably with a low rise, straight-leg fit through the thighs, and a slight taper around the knee
  • Mesh-backed inseam venting allows for customizable cross-ventilation with a design that won't cause zippers to snag
  • Angled cargo pockets are easy to access on the chairlift and sit flush with the rest of the pant for a streamlined look
  • Zipped hem gusset can be worn flared out over boots or zipped up for a boot-cut look
  • Elastic boot gaiter with bootlace hook secures around the cuff of your boot and on connects to laces to keep snow from sneaking in

Bottom Line: The gateway to progression.

Meh

It got the job done. On cold days I was colder, on wet days I was wetter, but I never complained. I didn't think these pants were badass, so I didn't expect them to be.

Would definitely only recommend these pants for casual riders. Since this is a review, I get a chance to bitch now, so it kinda did suck on days where you'd snowboard whistlers peak and, with windchill, it was something like -30 to -40 degrees Celsius. Or on days on the north shore of Vancouver where it would rain an ass load. Eventually, I got used to stashing an extra pair of undies and pants in the car for the after-party.
