Boot around town in the DC Women’s Chalet SE Winter Boot and stay warm, dry, and effortlessly stylish. This calf-length winter boot is durable, water-resistant, and sooooo cozy. DC gave the Chalet SE a sticky outsole designed for enhanced traction on ice so you don’t slip while making eyes at your crush. Foam padding and a flexible upper add to the Chalet SE’s comfort level, and help keep you going despite the winter weather.
Bottom Line: Get in the DC Women’s Chalet SE Winter Boot and get out of the lodge.
OMG! I don't think I've taken these off since I got them in the mail. They really are like stuffing your foot into a boot full of marshmellows. They DO squeek a little bit but that seems to wear off the more you wear them. They have great traction on the bottom for romping around in the snow and sleet. And your feet stay toasty warm and dry. BUY THESE BOOTS!
HELLO ANYBODY. I REALLY WANT THESE SNOW BOOTS BUT I CANT SEEM TO FIND ANYWHERE THAT WILL SHIP TO AUSTRALIA. DOES ANYBODY KNOW A WEBSITE THAT WILL.??? PLEASSSSSE!!!! THANKS EMMA.
Those type of matters are generally up to the manufacturer, not the retailer. The chances are that DC told all of their retailers not to ship their brand internationally. I would recommend contacting DC directly to find a remedy.

Are these boots water proof? I am going to be working in the snow for the season again next winter and need new boots. I like that everyone has said there super comfy but being in snow all day will my feet get wet?
ok... i have never reviewed anything before, but after wearing these boots for a few weeks i HAD to come back & tell other ladies how amazing these boots are! they really are "marshmallow boots" because they really do feel like a bed of marshmallows for your feet! i live in winter park, CO so functionality is definitely key... the treads are great and my feet have never gotten cold while wearing them yet. i wear a size 9.5 and got the large and they fit perfectly! also i had no problems with squeaking... the ONLY thing that i was slightly wary of is that at first they were a little tight in the calves, but after wearing them a couple times they stretched out just right :-) i would definitely recommend these to any girl who wants to keep her feet comfy and toasty warm!
These boots are, in a word, heaven. Perfect for wearing around the city on cold, slushy days and absolutely DIVINE to pull on after my feet have been cramped up in board boots all day. I bought mine a few years ago, and while I don't wear them a whole lot, they still look like new. Only problem is that the laces are really long and don't seem to stay tied very well. But for as comfortable as these puppies are, I'll re-tie them all day long. Much cozier than Ugg boots, they look bad ass, and I have yet to see someone else with a pair. I wear a 7 in most shoes and got the medium. They're a little roomy but with big winter socks on they're nice and snug.
Write your question here...I REALLY want these, they are amazing and I think my question is probably a stupid one because of the price...but is the fur faux??
the fur is fake. These are awesome...buy them you won't regret them, I have many in different colors and my black ones are 4 years still kickin' it good.
Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to the blazers at DC who thought it would be funny to get their riding boots and their Uggs drunk to see if they'd hook up, cos these boots are the mutant love child of that coupling. Sure they squeak just like their father the Judge, but they have all the warmth and cosiness of their snuggy Uggy mum. Buy them. Buy them now.
Mine came in the mail today and i am so in love. the pink on the site doesn't do them justice. they're seriously crazy pink.. not that light pink color. theyre almost neon pink and sick as hell. i'm an 8 8.5 so i got a medium and my feet fit perfect. now i really can't wait for snowboard season!!! :D
Be patient. There are more on the way. It is that time of year for the cold weather and DC has a whole new group of colors coming for the Chalet SE. There will also be some on sale. Just keep checking back.
The DC Chalet boots are my absolute favourite when it comes to keeping my feet cosy and toasty. They feel like you're wearing soft pillows on your feet and stay dry in the worst conditions.. And when your done wandering around in the snow wear them to the bar - guaranteed to keep all that spilled beer from soaking your toes!
LOVE these boots. The best thing ever for a nice Chicago winter. Had to order a new pair for my mom because she kept trying to wear my new pair I ordered last year.
You will need to find the pink Chalet SE somewhere on ebay or something. They no longer make that color and we won't be getting more in. That color is actually left over from last season. Happy hunting and while your at it, pick up the white pair. Killer price right now.
LOVE these boots. The best thing ever for a nice Chicago winter. Had to order a new pair for my mom because she kept trying to wear my new pair I ordered last year.
is DC going to bring out a bigger size?.. im a 8.5-9 i wear boots for deep snow and plan on wearing thick socks, i dont think the large in the SE boot or slim will fit me.
I ordered the Large and they were way too big for me!! I had about 3 extra inches in these boots. I wear a 7 1/2 to 8, the box says US size 7, but it is wrong.
If you look at the size scale for the DC Chalet SE a Large is made to fit a 9-11 in Women's sizes. I would be confident in telling you to buy a large. If it doesn't work out Dogfunk is always happy to return the item.
Bought these for my girlfriend and dear LORD. She loves them and so does every girl that comes near them. I didnt think it was possible to fit so much padding in a boot. For you guys lookin for your lady, this is an easy one. Like previous reviews, I had to send the medium back for the large cuz she wears an 8...no biggie with customer service like this. I must say, lookin sexy in snow gear is getting better every year for you ladies. Thanks DC.
They have already made the DC Chalet SE in Black size Large. It was our most popular selling size in this color and we have sold out. Sorry for the inconvenience. Try the white ones, we have those in Large or you can try the Chalet Slim. We should have some bigger sizing available there.
On my third Canadian winter with these boots and they kickass! Not only do they look badass, but they are super comfy, and keep my feet nice and warm. You can stomp through the snow and splash in puddles and your feet wont get wet.I use them for sledding and just walking around town on a snowy wet day. They are the ultimate stylish winter boot!
Does anyone know where i can find this boot in Cobblestone with the black dc logo? I could about a month before xmas but i waiting too long and now i can find them anywhere! Maybe they are discontinued??
Hey I actually bought a pair of the boots you are after last year but they are to small for me!! They are still brand new in the box and have never been worn!!! What size are you?? Email me @ kerriemina@hotmail.com if you are interested
The DC Chalet SE in the Cobblestone is no longer being made. It was a boot that was left over from last year that we were able to buy. We are sold out and will not be getting that color back in.
I purchased these boots for a Feb 2010 trip to Washington DC. They just had 'snowmageddon' so I knew I needed a good shoe especially because I'm not used to that type of weather and I tend to slip a lot, lol. For three days I wore these boots and walked hours and hours in them and they never once bugged me nor did any rain or snow or slush get in them. I am extremely pleased with my purchase and cannot wait until I can use them again.
The only con I have is that the laces kept coming undone and I had to stop and retie them until I learned how to wrap them around and knot them. Also, I have the white boots and I dont know how to get the dirt off of them =(
Hello all- I received my order within in two days through regular mail. The boots are super nice. I was very very excited. They were exactly what i ordered.
I had seen them in the mall previously for twice the price. I fell in love with them and had to have them.
Dogfunk was great in processing and mailing my order. I look forward to ordering from them again.
i tried some of thse on in the shop im size med..i think this ranges from 5 - 8 is that right?? or is ther particular sizong in numbers..i want to buy some online
According to DC, the Chalet SE in size Medium fits about a size 7 to 8.5. If you ever need to know there is a sizing chart located near the Add to Cart button.
Oh my god. I have just worked out the inner of this boot is velcroed in and can be removed!! Love <3<3<3 BTW I am 6.5 / 7 and S fit me perfect.
I have not bought these boots yet, but really want to because they are so freakin' cute. My problem is, I need them to be warm. I don't want to be outside at -10 C and have my toes go numb. Are they going to keep my toes toasty for a day of sledding in Alberta?
I purchased these boots about 2 weeks ago and received them the following week. I normally wear 8.5-9 shoe. I purchased the black boot in medium because the sizing chart said from7.5 to 8.5. When I tried them on they were WAYYYY too small. The sizing on the box said the boots fit 6.5 to 7.5 in the medium. Now I have to spend more money to send them back to get the correct size.
There is no temperature rating associated with the DC Chalet SE. They would be considered more of a fashion style boot that protects from chilly weather. The materials used are not technical and made to keep things like wind and water from ruining a night out on the town. I would not put much confidence in these if I was using them for some type of expedition. I would be sure that they will keep your toes warm and dry if you were just going to wear them around town, to school, or even something to get you to your car and back while at work.
These boots have to be the best pair that I have ever owned. My boyfriend bought them for me for Christmas and I am in love with them. The only thing that bugs me is the squeaking! It's highly annoying. Hopefully when I break them in that they'll be better.
By the way I usually wear an 8 - 9 depending on the shoes [In Skater brands I wear a size 9]. So the large fits perfectly. These boots are a must have for all girls out there. :]
These boots are so warm and super comfy. They are really cute, too! I would highly recommend then to anyone who can't seem to find boots that keep their feet warm. Definitely a great pair of boots!
A size 7 would be a size Medium in the DC Chalet SE Winter Boot. That doesn't mean that the small wouldn't fit but the Medium will probably fit better. The small would most likely be tight for a while and would need some serious wearing to break in that padding for a good fit. The Medium would give you enough room to keep those toes dry and warm.
Got my boots a couple weeks ago, just in time for this Michigan winter. I have been looking for something like these for two winters now. I wear an 8 so I got the Medium and they fit snug and PERFECT. Nice and toasting. My husband comments on the sqeaking when I walk, but hey...comfort outweighs the sqeak!
Ok so i just got my boots in the mail and iam absolutly in love!! they are awsome and now i want them in other colors I wear a 8.5 in sneakers and i got them in a medium and they fit perfect and they r so comfortable i highly recommend them!!!
I normally wear a size 6-61/2 so I bought the smalls- they are a tiny bit big but not enough to worry about. These suckers are super light weight, comfortable, warm and fully water resistant. I took them with me to Mammoth for 5 days to test em out and they were fantastic. I just wore them with ankle socks and they worked in the bars and in deep snow. They kept my feet warm and dry (actually, extremely hot inside the bars) My only gripe is that the DC logo is sparkly which I couldn't tell from the picture. I'm not a super girly-girl so I would have definitely preferred them without the sparkles. I'll rub em off if I can.
I saw the review that said that the inside lining is removable and that Small fit perfect for someone who was 6.5 - 7. Since that is just the size range I am looking for, my question is would Small be too small if the lining isn't removed.
i wouldn't remove lining. they aren't made for that, choose a dif. boot 4 that! i'd say med would be perfect. remember, the return process is a cinch. p.s. the boots are HOT pink, not light. very awesome.
These are the most amazing boots i have ever owned! For those of you who are as obsessed with the color pink as i am they are the ones for you! i got the medium and i wear a size 8 in Nike Dunks and a size 7 in converse and they fit a little snug but i wouldn't trade them for the world!! definitely worth the money!!
bought these for my lady as a x-ma's present, i COULD NOT wait and gave em to her early! she absolutely loves them! they are super "squeaky" at first, after break in they dont bug me! lol all in all, these are pretty sick! i deff. recommend=]
Just got these in black just 1 day before heading up to Breckenridge during a snowstorm, and my feet stayed toasty & dry all weekend. They are SO comfy after a day of snowboarding, and totally waterproof. I absolutely LOVE THEM!
I got them in a Large, and I wear size 9 in shoes. They fit me perfectly (after I realized there was some packing stuffing in the toes - der). Not sure if they would fit a larger shoe size though, unless you were only a 9 1/2 tops. They fit me like a glove though, and it's gonna be a happy winter for my feet!
I was here shopping for the hubby some DC Rover's and decided to get my self a cute pair of DC boots/shoes to see what all the hype is about. I now know. These are cuter than the picture. I normally wear a 6.5 or 7 depending on the shoe so I went with the small. They are a hair too snug but I think the medium would have been like my UGGS. TOO floppy. I haven't wore them yet but I think they will be great. They say 40 is the new 20 and at 38 with cute boots like this you can't help but be sexy!
I was looking for some boots to wear not only to and from riding (these feel SO GOOD after riding for a few hours), but to kick around in when the snow piles on. They're uber warm and way more comfy than you may expect. The sizing is a bit goofy, I wear a 9 or 10 and the large fits nicely (they loosen up after a few times). I think anyone with a true 10+ shoe may have a slight prob. But they're totally worth it, I wear them every chance I get!
I love this they are super warm, I am a size 8 1/2 and got a Large they where a little too tight at first but after use they fitted perfectly I would not recommend it to anyone that is a size 9 or more. They made a LOT of noise at first so don't take them to school or univ at first because you will be noticed. They are suuper cute and i have gotten a lot of compliments on them.
These boots look and feel good. They are soooo cute and DO actually feel like you are walking on pillows. Didn't want to buy them because I wear 9 1/2 and thought they would not fit, but they do. When I got them I was going to return them because they squeeked like CRAZY, but after a couple of times wearing em, they are okay. Glad I decided to buy em.
I'm a solid 8.5 and I bought a Large. These boots fit perfect! Because of all the padding, a size 9 may be uncomfortable in a Large! Very happy and super cute!
Size 7 is a Large! What if you have a larger foot, I don't know what you would do. I am normally a size 8 and the large is tight on my toes. They are squeaky when you walk. Other than that I am very pleased. They look exactly like the picture. I am keeping them. I received them quickly, too!
these boots are awesome! i was sketchy between the pink and cobblestone, but i ordered the cobblestone and love them! (though a little darker than expected) a good way to look good after a rough day of riding. plus an instant conversation starter ;) i wear a size 6.5 to 7.5. I ordered medium and they fit great. really cute and legitley comfortable.
I loved these boots...they were tall and kept snow out and kept my feet toasty. The best was putting these on after boarding all day pretty dang comfortable..they are so sweet looking too but prolly on a size 7 and under. They are bulky and might look goofy if too big. But perfect for my size 6 foot.
These boots are fabulous!! By far the best purchase I have ever made on winter boots....I had been looking year after year for quality boots that wouldn't let water/snow in and that would keep my feet warm while commuting to work in the city of Chicago. These are perfect....No problems yet...feels like you are walking on air...they are a bit squeaky but you can't tell so much when you are around the outdoor noise. I would highly recommend these boots...I purchased the black zebra...very cute and trendy~....I wear an 8-81/2 and I bought a M....they fit fine...there is so much cushion inside that they may feel snug but its a comfy snug....
so i wear a 7 1/2 no socks, 8 w/socks. first bought the med. the boot would fit, but it is the fluffy insulator that is very snug. w/socks it felt like my toes would die. bought the large. still a bit snug but room enough for comfort, although get a bit of heel slip cause boots are enormous. will put in a cheap heel support.
I read this review and ordered the Large since this review said the Medium was too tight on her. I wear a 7 1/2- 8 and the Large is gigantic!!! Waaaaay too big for my feet. Honestly they have 3 extra inches in them.
That's what it feels like! so soft and comfy. I love the cute faux fur on top they are reminiscent of dumb and dumber when they get out of the lambo. they are a little goofy in a cute way. I love them! the previous review was correct if you have a 10+ foot they may be a little snug. I had this experience because I am a 10-10.5 however the material is so soft it really does not pinch or hurt. It's like wearing a big sock. They are great in the snow however do not walk on ice. They do have small grips on the bottoms but are relatively flat compared to other snow/outdoor boots and yes! after riding they are awesome to throw on. They are great to wear with anything really! even sweatpants! i got the white and after a few months they are still bright white not faded into a off white. easy to keep clean as well. Overall bonus on this one!
Get these! Not just because they are cute but because they are comfy!! it feels like you are walking on pillows. seriously they are so comfy and warm. They are not big and obnoxious like dumb and dumber. They are cute and classy. I got the white and I love them! I wear a size 10 and got the large they fit perfect.
What is not cool about them! Everyone i meet wants to know about them. I wish they would make them in more colors. Also add more fur ,it makes them stand out. Well girls try them ,you won't be sorry! Big FAN
