Very disappointed with quality of pants

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Colour matches jacket great, and they look good, but seems on the pants are coming undone, the poppers has come off ripping the delicate material. Rips are appearing in the trousers. The jacket is made of a lot better quality material than the pants, I would question if these are fit for mountain wear. Very disappointing as we are currently holidaying in Les arcs with no other mountain wear.

Great Feel, Great Look, Great Pants

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I am 5'10" and 185lbs. I wear the Large and they fit just the way I like. Loose and with a little extra room, they also have Velcro straps to adjust the waist. They trap heat really well, and the vents efficiently allow air to flow when you need a breather. The pockets are great for storage and have zippers underneath the velcro flap so you can be sure your stuff is secure. Typically an east coast rider, I did have a couple of opportunities to use them out west and they held up great. The waist and boot gators keep you very dry and keep the snow out. The waist gator does not fall down because of the texture of the band that holds it in place. When not riding in pow, I typically lower the gator and wear the band around my waist with the regular waist of the pants. These pants do a pretty good job of staying dry as well, and dry fairly quickly too. Great look, great feel, great pants.

Hi,
You might have luck checking in with DC to obtain a list of their authorized dealers, and see if any of them still have that size/color combo available!

The sizing guide for these pants lists your waist size in the XL size range, but just barely. (http://www.sierratradingpost.com/dc-shoes-donon-13-snowboard-pants-insulated-for-men~p~5428x/)

I'm a girl, and I love these pants

I like the baggy syle and I get sick of the super fitted woman's styles. I am 5'8'' and around 130 pounds. I got a medium and they are a little on the big side. But they do have waist adjusters so they still fit but they can get bunchy sometimes. If I got them again I would prolly go with a small. Overall I love them! I got the red and they ended being a sweet color. Very comfortable and durable and warm.

Style

Its DC so its got style. The waist gaiter takes some getting use to and I am not in love with it. The material, look and function definitely make this pant a favorite of mine. Well thought sans the waist thing.

A few questions, (1) how do they fit, if I wear a 33-34 in jeans, med will I have room for sweats on super cold days? (2) how insulated are they? Will they be to warm for late season? (3) do they have suspenders read somewhere else they do? If so are they remove able? Thank you

Responded on

Baggy fit. Should have room for another layer. Pretty light insulation, so they should be fine for late season. Some models have suspenders, hard to say if the ones you might order will include them or not...but they are removable.

Great pair of snowboard pants!!! Keeps u warm and most importantly dry! Be careful though not to pull too hard on the drawstrings inside the cargo pockets... my first pair ripped inside and all I could feel was the string wrapped around my leg for the rest of the day.

step your game up

and get these pants. if your all about looking good and feeling good. go with these pants. keeps you very warm, doesn't allow moisture in at all. even the boot cuff was barely wet after a day of shredding. GO WITH THESE.

How are you supposed to wear them? i thought at the waste where the belt loops and the part that is up with the elastic waste was to go higher by your stomach to keep snow out and i thought that would be uncomfortable but i showed them to someone and they said it would be worn where the elastic part is at your waste and the waste with the belt loops would be lower to look baggy

Is the pant cuff buttoned or zippered?

If you don't think you need them... then you need them

These pants are AWESOME! I'm an instructor at my local mountain. I was worried about the pants being too baggy and saggy, but they are not. I wear both waist bands together because I'm not out slaying pow; I'm helping people get down the bunny slope. The pants are super warm even on cold days without a base layer in Pennsylvania. I was out in the sleet/freezing rain and they were dry.

Solid pant, solid company. Get these yesterday!

Responded on

what do you mean both waist bands togeher?

Responded on

I war the gaiter waist band at my regular waist and then I put the dark grey waistband with the belt looks at the same place as the gaiter waist band.

Great pants

These are great pants that are super warm and have a really good waterproofing. The waste gaiter is great for when you have an occasional wreck and you are tired of getting that snow down your pants. Overall great pants.

So I'm 6'2 and 150 but I'm built skinny and tall. I'm a little worried that if I get a large the waist is going to be way too big and the waist gaiter won't fit as nice. But I'm also worried that if I get a medium that the won't be as long as I wanted. (I have long legs and I want the "baggy look") What size should I get??

Responded on

I have the last years model i'm 5'11 155- 160 and the waist fits perfect and length is just a little long. They already have a baggy look to them even though they fit perfect on the waist so you would probably be fine with the medium. These pants are dope though I would definitely recommend them

super!

love the pants, I've been waiting them for a long time, and they didn't let me down. Great pant for snowboarding, especially the extra lining is very usefull. Great looking and pretty warm. Suggesting larger size which brings a better style.

super!
