Description

The DC Hestra Jacket doesn't do hesitation.

Zip up the DC Hestra Jacket, prep for launching sequence, and drop the hammer on park terrain or natural features. This highly waterproof insulated jacket with a long fit does the dirty work, so you can focus on target-rich environments. DC added a light layer of polyfill insulation into the Hestra’s lining to give you just enough warmth to survive the wait in the lift line and the ride up to the peak through blizzard conditions. Other than that, this jacket is lightweight and built for rippers who don’t like any extra bulk getting in the way.

  • Standard long fit for streamlined feel with extra protection
  • Fully taped seams ensure moisture stays out
  • Removable head gaiter for the coldest days when you think your cheeks might freeze off
  • Media pocket is accessible through the storm flap so you dont have to fully unzip in cold temps to find the right playlist

Killer jacket!

Just purchased this of dogfunk only a few weeks ago. What an unreal jacket! To clarify firstly it has wrist gaiters. Such a well constructed and well thought out design. Media pocket is perfect. Has a removable head gaiter for those real cold days and was more than warm enough with just a T shirt underneath on a 0 degree Celsius day in Oz. I had to open up the vents it was so warm after a run. I am 187cm and 85kg which is about 6'2 and 190lbs and a medium is spot on. I could of gone the large if I wanted a super baggy fit but didn't bother.

I am 6'1" and 160lbs.
Not sure if I should get the Medium or the Large.
After reading your review I'm now leaning toward the Medium, but I have one question...
How are the sleeves for length on you?
(I have a 6'3.5" wingspan, so I need long sleeves... the only reason I *might* need a Large)

Nice

A good jacket! comfortable, durable and surprisingly warm with large pockets that can hold surprisingly much. I have used it for almost a year now, kept me worm in -25 Celsius with only long underwear under. The only problem is that dirt from rails gets attached to the magnets that hold the flaps over the pockets, this doesn't get off easily...

do you think the white part of the jacket...

do you think the white part of the jacket will get dirty easily

Responded on

it's white so....yeah. just don't fall, and if you do don't fall in the dirt!

na u should be ok because one of my buddies has this coat and he used it all season and its still white but he did wash it once.

Responded on

if u havent bought this jacket yet, that white part is more of a greyish colour. And my jacket got dirty kinda fast.

Which would be a warmer coat this one or...

Which would be a warmer coat this one or the dc helix jacket? I know this coat is a bit longer, is it baggy too?, I'm 5'11'' and prefer my coats on the baggy side..

Responded on

The Helix is warmer. It has a nylon liner while the Hestra has a polyester mesh.

Most DC stuff is baggy and long. For comparison measure the inseam of your current baggy jacket and compare it to the size chart right above the "add to basket" button on this page.

Hey bro this jacket is sick! It's baggy just like normal DC outerwear. The sweetest thing is that it's long! I personally like this as you have that nice long baggy fit but still have the advantage of technical outerwear as most jackets of this style are usually only 5k waterproof or less. The Celtic green color is sick too! Hope this helps. Peace
