I rode this board in the season of 07/08 at the Stratton Demo for 08/09 season product. I was very impressed seeing as it was first season DC was making snowboards, and the first time I was trying DC snow product, (though I was also trying some Judge's on for footwear at the same time). It did get a little soft when doing real downhill with speed, and didn't have too much float in the glades, but it was a great ride all over. Most of it was probably because I mounted the stance a little wide, thinking I'd be riding park, and it was a pow day. Just bought one for this season, and the christening run down the yard was great.
Overall a great board, but lacks a little if you're trying to carve, bombing an ungroomed slope, and keeping steady float in deep pow, but overall a great board. 8.5/10

with a size 11 foot am I gonna get a lot of toe drag on this?
David Zemens

Depends on your stance angle(s). It also depends somewhat on the boot. But since most size 11s are going to be similar (although older boots tend to be bigger in my experience) this is a lesser concern.
I wish everyone who had a "Will I get a lot of toe drag?" type question would include thes very relevant informations. So, edit your question, let me know what is your stance angle and also what type of boot you're rocking, and you'll get a better answer.
I wear an 11 boot on 26.5cm waist board, and there's practically zero overhang. But I also ride a 0/0 stance. So your mileage may vary.

This thing kills it for spring park. Ive got like 3. holds up decent in powder, get the new one though its supposed to be better for it. Way fun, buttery smooth, but can still handle decently big jump lines

how is this board with just ridin the hills or is it just a park board?

After riding and demoing a lot of boards, I have to say this board as well as most of the DC boards have one of the better park to trail transitions, they're typically kind of stiff to their edge, but hold enough pop and butteriness to them to have fun with. So yeah this is probably exactly what you're looking for!

like the things people come up with these days amaze me. dude forum and burton are garbage. yea they started the game, but everything advanced. just cause burtons cost the most money doesnt mean there the best. get a PARK board for the park. and if your riding a ride on flat box it really doesnt matter, you could go pick up a lamar from dicks for 100 bucks. jesus this world scares me.

Crap, crap crap...too soft and noodley, youll be riding your heart out just to keep the board under your feet and it will have no bite or turnig ability
PK Thunder

any snowboard will ride groomers just fine. ice is mostly a matter of edge sharpness and technique.
Andrew

just keep ur edges super sharp

no board is made for ice you idiots. i dont care what your edge sharpness is or your "technique" like listen to yourself... its ICE! god almighty.

they are really similiar boards but look at the price tag on this baby 100 bucks thats too cheap to even think about it

yeah deff go with the weapon. these boards are nice but dc needs some time to get things rollin with there boards. and k2 has been killing it fer a bit now. dc's outerwear is money thou
adam
Member since
that really depends on what you want to ride
if your riding mostly rails you'll wanna get the weapon but if you want something a little more solid go with the pbj it's a little stiffer so youll be able to do a little more of everything
Anonymous
Member since
neither. i have an 09 www 152 and the pbj 155. weapon is way too soft for anything but rails. the pbj feels a bit heavy for some reason when you try to throw it around. and its a tad too stiff for rails but its suuuuppperr poppy. but thats just me. boards ride different for different people. you might be okay if you size down a bit.

is this board meant solely for jibs or can it handle jumps also
Yule & Bellow
Member since
its probably too soft for jumps
Wayne Mickelsen
Member since
its a pretty soft board so its mainly for jibbin but it could handle jumps good as long as its nothin 30ft+
Michael Garrison
Member since
i hit 50s with it and was totally fine
Buck
Member since
You could hit 80's with it and be fine, but i mean if your actually hitting those every day then ya you would get more out of a better stick but other wise its legit little wide though
Great board

I was looking for a board that I could start on and would last me for awhile once I got better. This was definitely the board...LOVE IT!! It's not too stiff so it's nice and forgiving to new riders and will tear up the park later on. Also, good for just running down the groomers!1
this board is good!

i dont understand how people can say this board is bad on large booters over 40 feet when you see torstein throwin his tricks over 70+ sized booters! I bought this board and it is alot stiffer than i thought... i personally would have gone with the MLF because i like to ride powder as well... However, this board handles jumps, boxes and rails well. The stiffness allows a nice takeoff because it is very stable. I recommend this board if you are a park rat. If you like powder, go with the MLF

dude, everyone is talkin like different stuff on this board. like is it worth it for strict park ridin?

torstein DOES slay huge jumps, but he is a pro, and works with the DC team. think about it this way- Shaun White rides a TWC model, but the The White Collection board Burton sells is NOT the board he rides. It's just the same graphics. Torstein may have a PBJ, but it might not be EXACTLY the same as the consumer board.
im hurt but i dig it

I friggin love this board. The first day i rode on it i felt so confident because i felt so much lighter and the board felt stronger with a killer bend making manuals easy. But my new board cockiness failed me when i hit a twenty foot drop off a kicker into a front side three and caught front edge and tore three ligaments in my shoulder. terrible way to break in a brand new board and end the season. But i cant wait to ride it again.
the dogfunk service and shipment was awesome they let me know everything i needed to know without me even asking.
One day...one core break.
Pissed off in NJ.

Okay so I have been snowboarding for like 5 yeras on and off. I know what I'm doing to a certain degree. I bought this board as my first board ever. I love DC as a companys shoes clothes hats etc etc. Thought it was a good buy. so I take it out for an EASY day the mountain. I hit only drop in rails...(The kind you dont have to jump to get on...you know baby rails) Well on the edge of these boards is a plaque thats says PBJ 155(or whateversize your board is) well I have what looks like this / \ core crack in my board...I'm pissed. ONe day out and my board is shot. guy at pro shop said its un fixable and it will only get worse fast. I am currently in talks with DC but because I bought it online there being biotches. Pay the extra bit for a burton...my bro had a 02 burton up until this year...thats def built to last not this one time out breakin a board nonsense

This board was nice the first day I rode it, let me lap the park with ease...second day tried riding a little more all mountain and snapped the nose 3 runs into a 15cm day.....I know its a park board but DAMN!
Next time i'm going for something a little more solid
