Performance that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Whether it's your first boot, or you simply need something that gets the job done without all the expensive bells and whistles, the DC Phase Snowboard Boot will meet your demands.

Traditional lacing is reliable and simple, and Direct Power lacing provides more leverage for optimal shell closure and a custom fit. Anatomical J-bars in the heel prevent uncomfortable, fatigue-inducing heel lift, and the Red liner features EVA foam to provide a comfy fit and a fleece lining to help your toes stay toasty. Unilite replaces rubber in the outsole to shave weight and improve cushioning without sacrificing traction.

  • Direct Power traditional lacing
  • Red liner
  • EVA footbed
  • Unilite outsole

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I went boarding a few times with these and find them to be perfect. They have never left my feet cold and most importantly look absolutely awesome. I would definitely recommend getting half or a full size smaller then your regular shoe size, you may find them tight at the beginning but they will eventually stretch to a perfect size. Overall they will beat any boot twice their price any day and I would definitely recommend them!

Awesome for the price

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I needed a new boot for my resort set up. My resort set up gets about 2-3 days of action per year and hasn't been updated since the early 2000's. I splitboard most the time on a hard boot set up and wanted the exact opposite of that in my resort boots. These fit the bill-cheap, soft, not overly bulky, and warm. I just got back from a wet snowy day up at Grand Targhee and I am pretty pleased with this boot. I purchased it more with groomers and park in mind, but it handled the wet powder pretty well. A little too soft for serious freeriding but for an entry level all around boot it is great. With the flex I am sure it is going to be great in the park whenever I get around to hitting one. I paired this with the Union Flite bindings and a Chimera Orb twin tip board and I feel like I have a killer freestyle set up.

as far as sizing goes I feel that it runs maybe just a hair on the small side. Not enough to worry about sizing up, but if you are on the fence/in between sizes I would go with the bigger size.

Warmer than 2 rats in a wool sock

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I like that these have traditional laces and the fleece inner liner kept my feet warm at 0 degree temps a few weeks ago at Snowshoe, WV. The flex of the boots are perfect for all around riding!

Super light, pretty spacious.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this boot at the beginning of the season and I've been riding it for a month or so already. I love how light these boots are! I even notice it when I'm strapped into my board. The fleece in the liner keeps you pretty warm, but they're no Sorels so wear some thick socks. Also the interior of the boot feels pretty spacious so again, thick socks are pretty necessary. I have a moderately flat foot so the shell doesn't seem to wrap my foot as tightly as i would like, but cranking my bindings helps that. The liner is pretty conforming to my foot, but it takes a good yank on the drawstring. The shell has a bit of rigidity (rated 5/10 on DC's scale) that helps me out with a little stability but it took a bit of adjusting from the park boots i used to ride in. I'm no park rat though so they'll be perfect for ripping around on groomers and some off-piste boarding.

Overall, this boot is great value and above "entry level" status. If you love a good lace boot AND saving money, this one's for you.

Informative! The pic makes it look like the liner is lined with some sort of furry material. Is this true?

Responded on

It's pretty standard fleece lining on the upper cuff, not particularly fuzzy, but still nice. It's regular synthetic liner material from the ankle down.
