DC Ply Snowboard

When Torstein Horgmo and Aaron Biittner take to the streets, they grab the DC Ply Snowboard for all their rail-destroying missions. Lock and Load camber utilizes traditional camber to give the Ply plenty of pop and provides a stable platform for locking into presses.

  • Lock and Load camber delivers the benefits of traditional camber with lengthened contact points that create larger flat areas at the tip and tail for increased stability and bigger ollies
  • Flexalite tip construction is 30% lighter than traditional constructions for reduced swing weight, and biax glass provides a loose feel
  • Stratus core is made from snappy, lightweight poplar
  • Twin shape makes dropping switch a snap, and Radius to Flat tip and tail provide extra float in pow
  • Extruded True base is easy to repair
  • Structurn base uses golf ball-like dimples to break water tension for added speed
  • Note that every size depicts a different graphic (150.5 is Torstein's and 153.75 is Biittner's), so if you order the wrong one don't come crying to us

Bottom Line: Torstein and Biittner's urban tricks may be next level, but their boards are traditional.

I'm 5'7 and 155 lbs should I go with the 50.5 or the 53.75, I stay in the park all day long and hit everything from kinks to booters.

Hey Zak,

I would go with the 53.75 if I were you. It's still plenty short for getting your jib on but will provide that added length you'll need for stomping landings. 50.5 is really short and I feel like you'll have nothing to land on when hitting those booters.

Hello. I want to know what is really the difference between the DC Ply and the DC Mega? Does the Mega worth the additional paycheck?

I want a board to play in the snowpark, that is flexible enough and with a good pop for olies and nolies but without loosing the control at fast speeds.. Which is better?

Thanks in advance

I rode a DC PLY for a majority of the season and just got on my Mega for the first time today... Both seem to be a similar ride so far but the mega is definitely stiffer. really nice in the pipe! The biggest difference is the base. the Mega does have the wooden topsheet and seems to be a little lighter. I remember the ply being somewhat stiff when i first got it but broke in really nice!!! If a higher end base, lighter weight and a stiffer flex are things that interest you (and for me they are) then the mega is sweet!!! if you get the ply be prepared to wax often!

3 F's fun, fast, and favorite

im 15, intermediate rider, and weigh about 127lbs. this board is my favorite because its fit for everything i ride! from deep pow to the park, this board does it all! this board is FAST, especially because of its structurn base, but also because it comes pre-waxed! this board is perfect IN MY OPINION. the board is light weight and will give you the speed to need to clear those knuckles. the nose rarely digs into deep snow to give it that nice float on pow. i have torstein's model and the design is just sweet!!! DC hit the bull's eye with this one ,an affordable price for a board that performs like a pro anywhere on the mountain. the CAMBER platform is great for presses and popping off those kickers.
i never get stuck on those long flats anymore! i gotta say! the best board ive ever had! :)

Im 5'8"-5'10" and weigh just about 115 lbs, would the 147.5 or the 150 be better?

147.5 if you tend to play in the park, 150 if you tend to charge harder. With your weight being 115 and being almost 6 feet tall I would go with the 150 or the 153.75

My Top Board

By:
January 17, 2013

This board is perfect. Ive noticed this is a really great jumper board despite some other reviews saying its more for jibbing. Its great for that too. The lock and load camber i think is the perfect board profile. You can bomb a run and jump like a camber board, but it cruises and is catch free like a rocker board. The base is amazing. Ive had 4 long days on this board and it still doesnt need waxing. Its also really fast. Like REALLY fast. I dont know if its the base formula or the structurn dimples that do it but rarely do i ever get stuck on those flat connecting trails anymore. I cant say enough good things about this board. I love that DC puts such great work and high end quality into their boards and the best part is that they can keep the prices on the low side. A board like this from burton is gonna go for at least $500 or more. Way to go DC, you guys nailed it

measure the length of your boots. this will let you know. you can have some over hang but if you want there is always a mid-wide board.

im 6ft and 160 lbs. i wanna ride all around the park, big and small features. but i also need to keep up with my friends who bomb every trail. i figure 156 is a good size for me but i heard you can ride this board a little smaller. what should i go with?

you could size down to the 153cm. I ride a 154cm standard camber board and am 6'2" and 170lbs. If you want to do more pow and backcountry maybe stick with the 156cm. hope this helps
