Ride with all the intensity you want.

DC gave the Status Men’s Snowboard Boot a super-stiff flex to give you control when you’re ripping big lines, and a Boa lacing system to give you a precise and immediate fit. Not just Boa, but two-section Boa Focus system that let’s you adjust the top and bottom of your boot separately. This boot handles the steepest couloirs, biggest drops, and fastest runs with total control and un-ending comfort. DC also added a synthetic leather upper to give you all the water resistance you need and enough durability to last season after season.

Are the liners on the Status heat moldable?...

Are the liners on the Status heat moldable? I bbought a pair of DC Status boots last season. I'm happy with them except for the fact that I experience heal lift when I try to carve toe side.

DC makes a good boa boot

So I got a pair of DC boots a couple years ago with a Reebok Pump like system in it to pump up the boot and also a single boa system and I never got a chance to write a review. Now that specific boot is discontinued, but I love the boa part. I can easily loosen up my boots when riding up the lift, and quickly tighten again (with big mittens on) when getting back to the top. This makes it a lot easier on my ankles as I tend to ride with my boots pretty tight for quick response and performance. I am excited to get a pair of these double boas next, I'm sure they're a good buy.

Would a 9 size boot be the right fit for me? I wear 9.5 dc shoes and i know snowboard boots are suppose to be snugg, but is a 9 too small? or still too big?

Responded on

DC boots are pretty much like their shoes if you are a 9.5 dc shoe then you usually are a 9.5 dc boot cuz i wear a 11.5 DC shoe and a 11 DC boot scrunches my toes. But im lucky i live a couple miles from dogfunks wharehouse so i checked. Now if a 9.5 shoe is loose on you then get a 9. Peace out,Chaos

BOAs rock

always heard great things about DC boots... and its all true. decided on picking up a pair after watching how easily my buddy adjusted his BOAs while riding! sure beats stopping every time to fine tune. definitely cant do that with speed laces. the status is not as stiff as the burton driver x but it definitely supports the ankles without feeling too cut off from the rest of the body. ordered one in 10.5 its pretty true to size. it feels a little snugger in the toe box than all my other boots but overall comfy. looking forward to putting these bad boys to use

The stiffness IM looking for !

I did not tried them yet but I rode the last year DC Status which I loved and my new one seem better so I expect they will be perfect ! The only thing I don't like is the inside of the liner, on the heel side which is too rough on socks... I hope it will be different with my new boots. Perhaps, it a minor issue compared to the advantage of these boots.

Get bigger size

I wear a size 10.5 sneaker and needed size 12 in these boots to get a good fit. Fit is great though when you get the right size. Definitely recommend.

could it get any better then these. No it couldnt

these things are more comfortable then my regular shoes. i got mine right before they went on sale and i couldn't even be mad i paid a little extra cus these things are worth it. the separate tightening zones are amazing makes a perfect fit. i got tiny ankles and with these boots i have zero heel lift. And if your really feeling like a badass you can even wear the liners around like slippers and look real flossy. even though you might get some funny looks. super stiff and coumphy with zero heel lift makes em the perfect boots.

best boots ever

focus boa are great. no pinch point. will buy again, over and over. saved my ankles a few times off kickers and digging nose into deep pow. from the east coast, not use to that stuff.

my personal xmas present

Got these just at the turn of the new year. I was moving to these from some Burton SL-9s which I loved, but the laces kept coming apart on them and they're impossible to rethread (first-gen ones anyway). But these surpassed my expectations. The Boa system is the real winner here meaning that I never loosened up during the day. ID's a big funky, but I'm not buying these for style!

great boot, the boa system allows quick and tight removal and fitment. Havnt used them on the snow yet but they are way better than my old dc's, no pinching around the ankle. The boots actually have a suede feel to the outer layer which isnt seen in the photos, hope it goes good in the snow.

Is the only difference between the Status and Judge the Recco technology and the inner liner?

Responded on

the judge boots are medium flexed while hte stratus are stiff flexed

My Judges got cooked when my buddy placed them to close to the furnace... I picked up the a pair Status’ as my replacement and the stiffness was significant. Outside of the money lost I am happy I got them, I have more control bombing runs and cutting through trees.

Painful pinching on both inside and outside ankle bone

Stiff is good. But the inside padding around the ankle is so thin that the boots pinch and hurt my ankles once I put them on. I did rode three solid days on them but they hurt. I have slim feet and the boots fits well except for the ankles.

have you tried not cranking down the cables way down? i had a similar problem which went away when i tightened them so they were only snug. i will say that now that i have 30+ days in they have packed way out and now need to get a new insole for them to take up some of the room. im wearing the 13s.

I have the early model for this boot a DC allegiance from 2008. I have used it for the last 2 winter seasons, and I agree with Matthews comment. I also want to add that I LOVE the boot really tight for the run and I do tend to over crank the boa laces on my boots. To help with the boot pinch, I loosen the boots just before I enjoy the chair lift and I re tighten just before the next run. This helps with my boot pinch when I over tighten. Also, with its alpha liners it did take a full season (not just 3 days) to break in enough so that they were comfortable.

just rode these boots for the first time today. absolute perfection. extremely light and comfortable, and the BOA system has much improved from my last pair - significantly more secure. the only issue is with the tightening mechanism on the liner, where you pull the lace and lock the plastic at the bottom, this doesn't work so well, but I believe that to be an issue with the technology in general rather than the manufacture of the boot, either way, the boot performed so well I didn't even notice it had loosened until I took the boots off at the end of the day. i will never buy a boot made by anyone but DC. another thing I noticed, having ridden with basically the equivalent of this boot from 2 years ago, is that they did a great job condensing the overall size.

Super Duper

I have the 08s. Super stiff, inner ankle on both boots slightly sore during first day. a little more difficult to maneuver when skating vs softer boots . had to tighten alot during my day, but still more predictable flex than my lace boots. one cable was not attached on arrival, but i read the instructions and it was fixed super quick.

Great boots

These boots are great, they are comfortable, stiff, and they don’t have a single hot spot. The dual BOA system makes getting in, out, and adjusting these boots to perfection a snap. You can even adjust them while riding! Recommend for sure!
