They are body armor shorts, so I believe you would just pull them down normally to do your duty.

I'm a long time skier turned almost snow boarder. The measurements felt accurate and didn't require any special modification or adjustment. They fit under my ski pants but just barely. Granted I didn't have a ton of wiggle room in the waist to begin with, but these took all of it and then some.

Are they worth the price? Hard to say. The cost seems a little steep for what you're getting, but the end results may be justification enough.
Second snow boarding trip and while the first one ended in my inability to use a chair, this thing definitely took the edge off. Look, your falling. There is velocity, and your arse is the recipient of the impending impact. This isn't going to save you, but you won't feel your gums vibrating. Who could ask for more!?! If you're really worried, or expect to take a 10 foot fall straight on the glutes, maybe try the hard tail version. For a newbie snow boarder, this worked out great.

Does a real good job keeping you coccyx bone protected when you fall. Fit's well under snowboard pants and you forget you have them on. First purchased the Demon Snow Flex-Force X D30 and sent them back because it lacked full tailbone protection and when I fall it's on the tip of the tailboard that takes the hit which can really hurt... the pro short has the protection for that type of fall .. very happy with the protection these shorts offer.

I though they were really poorly made. Definitely look in to some of the other brands. My pro tec shorts were a lot better.

Fits very comfortably. I had to cut the tail bone short cuz it was too long. It wasn't too difficult to do. (there's a plastic sheet that runs in the mddle of the tailbone pad, but there was a gap and i cut it at that spot. I like it alot. Doesn't feel like I'm wearing it and it makes sitting a ski lift comfortable in addition to saving my butt when eating it at the park.
