DC Avalanche Jacket - Men's - 2006
When the snow's puking and the mercury runs for cover, grab your DC Men's Avalanche Jacket. This casual down coat revels in winter weather. This furry-hooded jacket hits at the mid-thigh, enveloping you in warm down and water-resistant nylon. The sealed zipper wards off water, and the standard-fit gives you plenty of room without drowning you in jacket.
Bottom Line: An avalanche of warmth and style.

This jacket is an amazing deal. I ordered this jacket last night, got it today and I have no regrets. i read some of the reviews and was a little unsure. but now that i have it, I'm glad i bought it. its warm and looks rad. the fur on the hood is awesome. This is the best deal in town/on the internet you will ever find. you cant go wrong for $50. it DOES have a media pocket on the left inside by the zipper. I was looking for a casual jacket to keep me warm and look awesome in. I've already gotten 3 compliments on the jacket and I've had it for 1 day. this jacket would be perfect for snowboarding, the only problem is that its missing a powder skirt and may be a little too warm for sunny days.
Jacket Rocks! Has Media Pocket tooooo!

Yea, just got this jacket today, after but a moment of searching I found the media pocket down towards the bottom of the inside of the jacket, which was really comforting b/c I didn't think DC would forget about something like that. Down insulation is super cozy, great color as well(olive). A+ in my book.
After using it on the mountain...

Consider this a "as a snowboarding jacket" review. It sucks! I recommend this jacket if you're planning on wearing it around casually, after riding in it up on the mountain today the waist clinging got really annoying, anytime I wiped out (which was fairly often) the waist elastic would pull up above my waist and I'd have to constantly be pulling it back down to a comfortable position below my snow pants. The jacket also doesn't insulate very well. Good if you're just hangin out in the snow and need warmth, but bad if you're sweating like a dog and need to dump some heat. No vents, no true powder skirt. It's definitely a casual jacket. Don't buy it to board in.
Nice, I think

I marveled over how nice this jacket was. In the description it said it was a casual jacket but sense it looked like a snowboarding jacket I was unsure. I
had questions about a media pocket, and other things that the gear heads couldn't answer.I saw it in a store at the mall and it was a very nice jacket with a media pocket, BUT the pocket is on the outside and must be wired through via a hole for headphones. To bad I couldn't have my questions answered before I decided to buy a different jacket.
Decent for the street

I don't mean to be an ass but the features are listed there for a reason, they just don't write them there because they're bored. If a media pocket isn't listed you can be pretty sure it doesn't have one, and if it's recommended for "Streetware" it probably isn't great to ride in. No doubt though the jacket looks tight, and it's super warm. I bought it as a casual jacket and it works great for that, it only has a few pockets but they're big and they have plenty of room for your beanie and thin gloves in one and plenty in the other for your cell (or 20 cells the pockets are big). Over all the jacket keeps you super warm and looks good, so it your just buying it to finish off your steeze it's a good buy.
