Do the DC Men's Phase Snowboard Boots look familiar? With a soft flex and a super light weight, these park boots bring the look and feel of DC's Manteca Skate Shoes to the slopes. Water-resistant synthetic leather uppers and mesh panels give this freestyle boot the durability and breathability you need for continuous seasons of hot park and pipe action. DC included their basic neoprene-padded Delta liner for low bulk and minimal heel lift—the foam padded calf protects against tenderization. DC thinned the Phase Boot's outsole for better board feel. Feel confident walking on ice and packed snow with same “pill” pattern sticky rubber sole you can find on DC skate shoes.
Bottom Line: If snowboarding isn't just a phase for you, get the soft-flex DC Phase Boots for comfort on the long haul.
This is the cheapest boot DC makes, and as they were $80 at my local shop i picked some up. On the mountain, the first day they felt amazing. I thought i wanted soft boots. After a week or two these things turned into floppy skate shoes. I currently have no control over my snowboard. They're comfy though!
They are a lower DC boot line, but work really well. They do have the stiff ankle foam but still really comfy. They are pretty soft but not too bad. I would recommend them if ya need some inexpensive boots and aren't too pick as another said. Otherwise spend more for a higher-end/stiffer boot.
I didn't get to test these boots out much but, when I did they felt great. I guess because I wore rentals before. I love these boots and the price -great buy if you're not too picky. They also fit the binding great.
