Finally started wearing helmet   02-08-06

This helmet is great. I have been putting off wearing one until now. I need music so this was the natural choice. I got tired of the earphones popping out during skiing. I would recommend this to anyone.

Super Comfort, Good Audio   01-23-07

This is my second Giro ski/snowboard helmet. I originally wanted a Burton/RED audio helmet, but found them to be very uncomfortable for my head even in an XL. No such problems with the Giro. This helmet is all-day comfy and you hardly know it's there. The adjustable vents are the cat's pajamas--I can cool off much more quickly after a hard run yet can close them off if it's really frigid. The sound quality of the TuneUps earpads is nothing to write home about, but the convenience far outweighs any deficiencies in audio quality. Bass is acceptable but not skull-thumping. A couple of things I think could be improved: 1) The in-line volume control is really difficult to adjust with gloved hands since the dial is so tiny. Make it a little bigger, and maybe add a mute button like the one on the RED helmets (maybe put the volume control there as well). 2) The spring clip for same is not very strong and doesn't grip very well; mine keeps popping off my ski jacket. Otherwise, a great helmet that looks pretty cool, sounds good, and can't be beat for comfort.

G10 Audio Series   12-12-07
Maxells (1): rank
I have always owned Giro helmets. After purchasing the G10 Audi series Dec. '07, I will not buy anther Giro. I wear a size medium helmet and with the adjustable helmet sizes this helmet seemed perfect. Then, I tried to connect the chin strap and found out it was not long enough. To make it worse the padding on the chin strap was sewn in place so it did not line up under my chin. So, I switched to the large size. Of course this helmet is too big for me. Then came the audio problem that I am still dealing with. First set: only static went through the speakers. Second set: the audio worked fine as long as I did not use the bluetooth. The bluetooth only transmitted outgoing sound but would not work for incoming sound. Third set: same problem as the second set. Did I mention that Giro has not returned any of my calls or emails? I can't believe I wasted $180 for this headache.
