Description of Palmer Crown LE Snowboard:
The Palmer Crown LE Snowboard is the Ferrari of all-mountain riding. Four titanium inlays and four carbon fiber strips work together to give intermediate to advanced all-mountain riders effortless high-speed response and control. Palmer updated this year's directional Crown LE with the FLF (Feels Like Flying) Klothoid shape, which uses variable sidecut radii to transfer power to the edges, meaning more edge hold in any conditions, more control at high speeds, and more acceleration. Super-strong Nomex honeycomb in the tip and tail reduces swing weight, while Cap Sidewall Construction increases strength for multi-season durability. A 7200 graphite race base delivers sinister top-end speeds and is ready to ride right out of the box thanks to its stone-ground finish and factory wax.

Bottom Line: The Crown LE Snowboard—unreal response and incredible speed for the all-mountain dominator.

Palmer is not lying; this board is scary fast, easy handling and responsive   01-27-08

This board lives up to Palmer's marketing. It may even live up to its lofty price. This is a fast, responsive board that rides all conditions well. It is expensive but it is loaded with features not found in lesser freeride boards. The base is fast and it is a smooth, excellent carver. Put some energy into the board like when carving and you get a lot of it back as you exit the turn. On top of the speed and the power, I was quite surprised on light it feels on the snow and how easy this thing is to turn. I got a 165 but it feels like a much smaller board when I want to make sharp turns yet is a tremendous carver at speed. I have ridden this board on powder, in the trees, on choppy icy moguls (that was not fun) and hit some jumps (small) in the park. As long as you do not want to do a lot of tricks--it is just too stiff to lend itself to that anything that requires a lot of presses--this is a pretty versatile board. It does however require attention as it is very stiff. The bottom line is that this is a top end freerider. If you are an advanced rider looking for high end boards, you should consider this board.

08/09 Crown kills it   10-16-08

I was able to demo this board in 162cm at an industry only demo in February at Snowbasin, UT last winter. I was blown away at how much power the board has in the turns. The decambered tip and tail really make the board feel short at slow speed just messing around. I couldn't believe how well it held an edge at high speed and how much pop it had but, I never felt like I was going to catch an edge like I have on high end freeride boards in the past. My finely tuned Head Intelligence I.CT is amazing but you can't relax at all. I was able to relax on the Crown when I didn't have the energy left to really send it. I just purchased this and I can't wait till the lift start running. Oh, yeah its pretty damn light too.

i just got this board with some ride bindings. new setup, been riding for about 8 years, heard lots of good things about palmer. my last board was a palmer x-channel racing board, so i thought id go with them for my high end setup. when i got it, i was pumped but the control it gives and the speed it offers is unbeleivable. great board, but i was bummed when i realized its no good for rails. oh well, it works decont for jumps as well as freeriding
