Ride Kink Snowboard
Ride Snowboards hit the market in 1992 with four board models and a vision of building snowboards “for the people”. Originally based in Redmond WA, Ride proved its commitment to snowboarding by signing top pros like Mikey LeBlanc, Hana Beaman, and JJ Thomas. After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become Ride Bindings) and Ride Boots on the market. Ride is currently based in Seattle WA, and continues to develop revolutionary technologies and styles while staying true to its original vision of “selling the dream”.

Description of Ride Kink Snowboard:
Triple kinked rail? Strap on the Ride Kink Freestyle Snowboard, say a prayer, and slide that sucker. This jib deck's shock-absorbing sidewalls will help you get the job done. Instead of regular old plastic, Ride uses 85A-durometer urethane (the same stuff in skate wheels) in the Kink's sidewall. This material not only protects the board, but absorbs shock, which makes your trip down the rail smoother than with a regular board. Ride also used 50% more steel in the edge so you can detune your edges without worrying about durability. The Kink Snowboard's soft, radial flex makes butters and nose presses easy, while a twin shape ensures the board rides switch or regular equally well. *We can't control what base color you'll get, but we're sure you'll be stoked no matter what.

Bottom Line: The definitive jib deck for all your park and urban rail assaults.

ILL BOARD 11-10-07
Anonymous: rank
This board is ILL dude!!! amazing flex and smoothness to it the slime walls really can take a beating. I bought one for myself a while back and its killer in the park, and it will float above the pow to!! It can hold and edge just fine up to a certin speed. The best jib deck out there i wont ride anything else other than the kink from here on out. I highly recommend this board to advanced/intermediate riders....super easy to tweak its a must buy!!!

I love this board on rails and in the park. Its bomber and super smooth. Slimewalls are so damp and durable. I won't ride anything but slimewalls from here on out.

Not just a rail board 06-26-08
Mr. Tidbit (89): rank
The Kink has become an Iconic Jib deck over the last 8 years. Buttery soft 3 out of 10 flex with a snappy torsional response when you pop off kickers and out of the pipe. The 85a slimewalls not only give you a better feeling under foot when sliding rails/boxes and carving down trail. But hold up 100X better to the abuse you put your board through slamming up against rails/boxes all day. Added the "Cleavedge" helps make cracked metal edges a thing of the past. Most riders don't realize it, but sliding your deck down a metal rail heats up your metal edge significantly and when you hit the snow the instant cooling can cause cracks in your edges. Cleavedge is 50% thicker than normal metal edges and helps prevent cracks from happening. This board will accomodate up to a 10.5 boot size, but for those of you with size 11+ boots will be stoked as Ride finally pulled their heads out of their asses and are offering up a Wide Kink for 2008/2009. So now all park rats can enjoy one of the best Jib/Park boards on the market.
