After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become <a href="/dogfunk/subcat/48/b100000217/Ride-Bindings.html">Ride Bindings</a>) and <a href="/dogfunk/subcat/51/b100000217/Ride-Boots.html">Ride Boots</a> on the market. Description of Ride Dose Snowboard - Wide:
Ride made the Dose Wide Snowboard for jibbers with large feet. Like in Ride's DH Snowboard, Pop Stix (flat ribs of carbon) add pop without detracting from the Dose's smooth flex. This twintip board also features 85A-durometer urethane sidewalls that protect your deck and absorb shock when you jib on wood, metal, or snow. Detune the Dose's edges to your liking—50% more steel in the edges ensures durability and resistance to cracking. A radial sidecut gives you smooth, predictable turning. *These boards arrived with assorted colored bases. We have no control over which color you'll get.

The Dose is back again with one main tech update for 08/09. The addition of Pop Sticks. Like with the Society, Ride has taken tech that is used in the fishing pole industry to add some amazing pop to the tip and tail of the DH without messing with the perfect 6 out of 10 flex the DH has. Basically there are these fishing poles that you can bend past 180 degrees and they will not snap. Ride took this tech and milled it down into these 6 inch "sticks" that they place into the nose and tail of the Dose. Now you can load up your Nose/Tail and get an incredible snap, but the board is still soft enough to butter and screw around. The board will accommodate up to a 11+ boot in all of the sizes, so if you have a smaller size boot check out the DH, which is the same exact board in a regular waist width.

Easily the best board i've ever purchased the pop stix really do propel you higher and further with less effort. For someone with size 12's its good to finally find a board that suits me perfect. Great in the park and all round board - in one word - if you have size 11 or 12's this board is the ultimate!
