Ride Society Snowboard
Ride Snowboards hit the market in 1992 with four board models and a vision of building snowboards “for the people”. Originally based in Redmond WA, Ride proved its commitment to snowboarding by signing top pros like Mikey LeBlanc, Hana Beaman, and JJ Thomas. After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become Ride Bindings) and Ride Boots on the market. Ride is currently based in Seattle WA, and continues to develop revolutionary technologies and styles while staying true to its original vision of “selling the dream”.

Description of Ride Society Snowboard:
Find the biggest jump on the mountain and point it—the Ride Society Snowboard will help you stomp it. How? First of all, Ride uses 85A-durometer urethane in this freestyle deck's sidewalls. Just like on your longboard wheels, the urethane reduces vibration for a smooth ride up to the takeoff. A screaming fast Fusion 4000 sintered base ensures you'll have enough speed to make the transition. Just before you reach the lip, ollie to get a little extra air. Hollow carbon rods over this twintip's Pop Rods core store and then release energy for explosive pop. The carbon rods also transmit power from your bindings to the edge, so you won't wash out when you land. If you still have any doubt about this freestyle board's performance, consider this—the Society is the choice of freestyle rulers J.J. Thomas and Mikey LeBlanc. *These boards arrived with assorted colored bases. We have no control over which color you'll get.

Bottom Line: If you hang out with the park crowd, the Ride Society Snowboard will fit right in.

Best board ever ! 06-21-07
Mr. Tidbit (89): rank
I was fortunate enough to attend a demo back in February and got to ride this board. This board has a similar flex to the DH, but has more pop to it with the extra carbon fiber underfoot. It carves so much better than the DH with it's quadratic side cut and the base of the board is fast as can be. I rode the 160, I have a 10.5 boot size and had no issues at all with any toe drag at all. I took this board through the park, carving on trail and it some powder in the trees and it was great everywhere. This is definitely going to be my board for the 07/08 snowboard season! If you want something that is a bit snappier and more responsive then the DH and carves as well as an alpine board, but still kills the terrain park you will love this board.

Epic? I think so 06-28-07

The Ride Society is pretty much the Cadillac of snowboards. It cruises, it carves, it pops, it jibs. It does anything that you can throw in front of it. I got to ride the 154 last season and absolutely loved it. Once you're past the break in period, its on like Donkey Kong. The Slimewalls make vibrations slim to none and help when gripping on rails. The Cleavedge is so sick, because you can detune to almost nothing and still have an edge. It is the same flex as the DH, but with the Carbon Array of 5 it is a lot snappier than the DH. I demo'd the DH and the sidecut on this is much more superior to the DH. I recommend this deck to anyone with the idea of wanting to shred the entire mountain as their terrain park. Boo Yah!

This board stepped up my confidence and skills! 06-21-07

This board was incredible in any snow condition! I have the 160 LTD Edition and this board surpassed all expectations I had when I got it. The slimewalls dampen this board so much and the cleave Edge makes turning on ice like turning in powder! Hitting kickers in the park and natural terrain on this board is so much fun, and you feel like you have complete control of this board no matter what the situation. I even got to ride this on some powder days this year here in Utah and on Mt Hood and it just dominated! If you are looking for a board that will ride everything on the mountain, look no further, the Society is the board for you!
