Ride Contraband Snowboard Binding
Ride Snowboards hit the market in 1992 with four board models and a vision of building snowboards “for the people”. Originally based in Redmond WA, Ride proved its commitment to snowboarding by signing top pros like Mikey LeBlanc, Hana Beaman, and JJ Thomas. After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become Ride Bindings) and Ride Boots on the market. Ride is currently based in Seattle WA, and continues to develop revolutionary technologies and styles while staying true to its original vision of “selling the dream”.

Description of Ride Contraband Snowboard Binding:
The Ride Contraband Snowboard Biding changes everything with its Contraband Chassis System and revolutionary V-Strap, which is an integrated ankle and toe strap. This ultra-lightweight freestyle binding features Ride’s FlexLite Highback, which provides support and greater freestyle mobility. The Contraband’s LandLite footbed cushions your stomps, so you don’t get broke off before the season really gets going. Ride constructed the Contraband with heaps of adjustments, so get your fit dialed before going out for a session. Check out the sizing chart to see a video that shows you how to mount these bindings.

Bottom Line: The Ride Contraband Snowboard Biding gives you more laps per hour.

V-Strap is great 10-06-08

I'm sure you probably did a double take when you first saw the contraband, but this binding is legit. The new V-Strap provides you with the mobility you want when sliding rails and boxes, but keeps you boot secure and locked in place with the V-Strap. The key to this binding is to be sure that you have it adjusted correctly. Ride has put together a great video on their site to show you exactly how to do it, check the link below; http://ridesnowboards.com/videos/?id=28 Once you get everything adjusted on this binding there really isn't any part of the mountain that you can't charge. When I was up at Snowbasin in February riding this binding I hit the park, carved down groomers and hit 3 feet of fresh powder when they opened up the John Paul lift. My boot stayed in place in every condition and I never had any problems with the strap staying in place. I'm def. going to pick up a pair of these bindings this season to ride on my DH.

So fast to get in and out of and so darn light...my guess would be to make sure you follow the directions in setting them up. They are super easy to use.

Oh, and by the way, dont listen to anyone who says they rode them for a couple days and they dont fit because they put too much pressure on the toe. you have to adjust the binding to fit your specific boot, which means you have to be smarter than the binding... i guess some just people just arent.
