Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding
Ride Snowboards hit the market in 1992 with four board models and a vision of building snowboards “for the people”. Originally based in Redmond WA, Ride proved its commitment to snowboarding by signing top pros like Mikey LeBlanc, Hana Beaman, and JJ Thomas. After launching Cappel Clothing in 1994 and relocating to Preston, WA in 1995, Ride dropped Preston Bindings (later to become Ride Bindings) and Ride Boots on the market. Ride is currently based in Seattle WA, and continues to develop revolutionary technologies and styles while staying true to its original vision of “selling the dream”.

Description of Ride Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding:
Ride built the Alpha MVMNT Snowboard Binding with the lightweight, low-profile components for a skate-influenced feel that butters boxes and slays rails like nothing else. Ride's UltraLite highback stays out of the way when you need to move to the side for a nose press but still gives you tons of support for ripping a wide-open powder stash. Strap into the Alpha MVMNT Binding with the Thin Flex ankle strap and Comfortable ThinGrip toe strap for a barely-there feel and a weight closer to grip tape than your average over-padded binder.

Bottom Line: Light as you want.

everything i need 12-25-08

I ride these in the park all day. they are super comfy. all of the padding is gel, not foam. i rode k2 formulas before these, and the difference is ridiculous. these are light but not super light. they have aluminum instead of plastic, so they are super stable, but not heavy. they are lighter than an average binding, but they aren't union force light. they are very adjustable, which is always good. if you have the money to get these, get em. they're worth it.

Last year i got these when they were on sale because i broke my burton customs. i was trying to get away from burton because they were made from plastic. sure enough the only plastic part of these bindings (highback) broke on me. maybe its just a fluke. I also like the feel of the real cap strap and not this cross thing.. overall.. i wouldn't buy them again.. if you want a Ride binding get something cheaper.. they are all essentially the same binding with minor tweaks..
