Description of Rome Notch Snowboard:
The Rome Notch Snowboard's directional, tapered design gives you insane flotation so you can gun it through the knee-deep on those surreal powder days. This board has a narrow tail and wide nose to pop you up out the pow. Bamboo tail inserts add responsiveness for slashing chutes and provide tremendous pop without increased torsional stiffness. Mountain bevels give this powder board predictable edge hold on firmer snow. The Notch's SinterSpeed base absorbs more wax than any of Rome's other bases to give you unreal speed.

Bottom Line: When the skies bring pow and the covered mountain calls, answer with the Rome Notch Snowboard.

Awesome shape; doesn't give you Fish hand!   03-15-08

I made the switch to Rome boards a few years ago and love them. I ride the 58 in Vermont woods and love it. My complaint about the fish is that it was great in the woods but sucked on the trail getting there. This board can handle groomers and rules woods, banks, & anything you can find off-piste. Also, the nose tapers really thin, I believe this helps it deflect up and out of the snow (keeping you above board). I ride it the same size as my Design (my full-time groomer board), but I used to ride bigger boards before switching to these boards (63 & 62's)
