Description of Salomon Relay Pro Snowboard Binding:
When Salomon's pro riders need the best performance they can get their hands on, they strap into the Relay Pro Snowboard Bindings. Utilizing Salomon's Tensor System, the Relay Pro Snowboard Bindings transfer energy directly to your board for better spins and more powerful heelside turns. The Relay Pro Binding's soft Light Loop heel cup sucks you heel down in a pressure-point-free fit without compromising flex—you’ll have no trouble tweaking out that grab. For harsh landings, Salomon gave the Relay Pro a triple-layer, shock-absorbent sole that they ripped off from the nerds in their trail running shoe division.

Bottom Line: Pro-level performance

Pretty sweet binding with interesting concept.   11-24-08
Cbastus (7): rank
I got the 07/08 version of these, but they are basically the same. The binding works very well. They were a bit awkward to start with since they have a lot less side support than regular bindings, due to the lack of metal or plastic heel hoop, but ones you figure out ho they react you will probably be able to ollie a little higher than you used to. I never been good at sw nollies and fakie ollies, but with this binding I actually find them easier (this might as well be that I have a little stiffer board this season). The flexible heel hoop also has the added benefit of letting me store the board in my car with ease since I can bend it pretty much like I choose. The toe strap works well, although it tends to slide off my boots under wet conditions due to little friction between the strap and boot. They made it so that the strap can't unbuckle, which is a really nice feature because you don't need to thread your toe straps ever again. Come to shock absorbing I really don't feel that much difference from this and other bindings. But I never go that high or far ... A medium size is a tight fit for my 9.5 US 32 Ultralights. In conclusion: The Relay Pro made me realize I don't know shit about snowboarding.
